Hey Guys

Was going through my tracks today and noticed that Virtual DJ seems to read the bitrate wrong on quite a few tracks!! It keeps telling me some tracks are as low as 32kbps whilst windows is telling me that it is 256kbps etc.

Anybody else discovered this problem?

If the mp3 is encoded in variable bit rate (VBR) it is a normal behaviour.

Virtual DJ always reads VBR wrong, always has done. I just leave the column turned off, telling me my -v[0-2] encoded files are 32kbit is just wrong. It's odd that it's existed for so long as the program can understand how to decode mp3 frames, therefore it knows how many there are and can work out an average. They must be basing the bitrate from the first frame of the audio files or something.
