Topic: Sound set up for VDJ using the numark omni control

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

We recently bought the Numark Omni Control and we are unable to set up the sound output with this new external midi control. In addition, when we plug it in, it does allow some controls to be active, however, none of the light in the mixer turn on.

can anyone help us set up both the sound and just make it work.

We downloaded the mapper for the Omni Control, but we need help.

The Numark Omni Control is not supported natively with VDJ yet, but might be in next upgrade.

Hence, the lights etc will not work, only the midi part, and you can manually map it up.

But the soundcard should work fine, did you select it as soundcard in VDJ soundcard settings ?

Sound :

Config > Sound.
Inputs : none
Outputs : Headphones
Card : Asio
Driver : Numark USB audio
Channels 1/2 main 3/4 headphones.
