To toggle a specific effect on/off with a button:
effect "Flanger" active
(Replace Flanger with any other effect name of your choice.)
If you are mapping this to a key on your keyboard then you can also make the effect always trigger on the deck that is playing out live by adding deck active to the mapping, e.g:
deck active effect "Flanger" active
To toggle a specific video effect on/off:
video_fx_select "Strobe" & video_fx
(Replace Strobe with any other video effect name of your choice.)
