How do I install a custom mapper

Q. How do I install a custom mapper?

Custom mappers can be downloaded from the controllers download page.

To be able to download and use custom mappers, you will need to purchase or upgrade to the full VirtualDJ Professional and register your serial number to your profile.

PC:

  • Copy the mapping file (E.g: My Controller mapping.xml) to the following folder:

    My Documents\VirtualDJ\Mappers

  • If the controller also has a definition file (E.g: My Controller definition.xml), copy it to the following folder:

    My Documents\VirtualDJ\Devices

  • NOTE: If these folders do not exist, please create them.

Mac:

For new installations of VirtualDJ v7.0.3 or above:

  • Copy the mapping file (E.g: My Controller mapping.xml) to the following folder:

    /users/YOURNAME/Library/VirtualDJ/Mappers

  • If the controller also has a definition file (E.g: My Controller definition.xml), copy it to the following folder:

    /users/YOURNAME/Library/VirtualDJ/Devices

  • NOTE: If you cannot see or access the Library folder, please see: Reveal hidden library folder.

  • NOTE: If these folders do not exist, please create them.

For installations upgraded from older versions of VirtualDJ:

  • Copy the mapping file (E.g: My Controller mapping.xml) to the following folder:

    /users/YOURNAME/Documents/VirtualDJ/Mappers

  • If the controller also has a definition file (E.g: My Controller definition.xml), copy it to the following folder:

    /users/YOURNAME/Documents/VirtualDJ/Devices

  • NOTE: If these folders do not exist, please create them.
