Hello everyone. I'm a simple PC DJ that wants a good software. I've tried almost every trial of other products now and VDJ is very attractive for me. I love the layout and everything.
Now, when I play a tune on Deck 2 and start to beatmatch into Deck 1, then deck 1 stutters and lag and it will not always "catch up" during the whole tune. Deck 2 lags also sometimes but not that often as Deck 1. Doesnt matter if i press that 0 to the left of deck 1 to smoothly pitch it down to its normal beat again...it can get even more worse when I do that.
I have
AMD Athlon 64 3200+
2 gb RAM
Soundblaster audigy
latest drivers
I checked the CPU usage when i beatmatch and it lays steady on 3 % but 99 % when I load a tune into any decks, and i guess that's normal.
Any idéas what may cause this lag/stutter?
Ofcourse I cant buy the full version if I wont get this fixed. VDJ is perfect in all other areas. That's why i'm posting here because I really really want it, but as I said; I cant if i will not get this fixed in some way.
Thanks in advance, and I hope you all had some great hollidays.

HEY thats wrong man.
Ask myself, Cyder, Marcel we will all tell ya our AMD systems run VDJ flawless.
As a matter of fact we all have the same MOBO.

maybe your mobo is the exception that makes the rule stronger!
been there done that, again and again and the empiric truth showed intel is the winner, so far at least and is not only my observation , but many other skilled it guys

do not be sucked in by all the glitzy intel advertising amd can work just as well if not better in some circumstances.

Sky , if you say so I should believe you, usualy your advice is true, anyway I found that what is smart about intel and laptops is that they developed a whole platform with chipset video card etc, so they work harmoniously and I do believe that they get more or better info about windows ar vice versa, amd needs constant and laborious tinkering and like you said, after overclocking and expensive ram or super fans it might work better then intel, but just in some areas, I look at amd like disposable cheap gaming machines that is about to burst with the next level, maybe I'm just bias, but like I said been there done that, with windows and linux and for me is Intel 4 Ever, I did spent my fair share of money and time with amd and I wasn't as happy as I'm with Intel, but is just my opinion and until somebody will proove me wrong I'll stick with it.
My conclusion is if you want temporary performance for less $ but unstable go amd(with amd you never know if your next software update is going to crash the whole system), but if you want stability and compatability go intel
KRONAN, try the VDJ demo on an Intel and see if you get the same symptom if you do you all should accept my humble appologies if not there you have it...

For the record how large is are these files ?
try to free up some cpu by going to options > performances :
Move the slider to fastest , set latency to auto , untick safe and over-clock.
How many background applications do you have running on your machine?
To find out hit ALT + CONTROl + Delete and go to the processes tab.

Djlex:
I'll try on a Intelmachine, though I doubt it has anything to do with the CPU. If it would then why is deck1 worse than deck2? But I'll try.
These files are about 7 Mb more or less, it is trance tunes.
I changed settings as you said and it actually helped a little. It still stutters though.
I have 42 bg applications running when I run VDJ. Is that too much?
Thanks for replies :)
