hehe - more than likely, but I really can't remember slagging off Al gore, as I was argueing in favour that global warming is in indeed happening or in simple terms: That Al Gore deserved the award.

^ Definately second that one ^

But what I am looking for is the 2007 quote of the year, and it has to top this one below from 2006

djnutz wrote :
The vast majority of hip hop and rap is incomprehensible, idiotic and pointless. Most of it consists of an illiterate moron slaughtering the English language over stolen music. That's why most of these songs have a shelf life of 3 minutes. It boils down to whether or not the "borrowed" beat or melody is used by an artist with a real musical talent, I.E. not a no talent ass clown with silver teeth, poor grammar and "the world owes me everything because of my skin color" attitude.

Grow up
Learn to play an instrument
Learn to sing
Contribute something to society in the form of music with substance
BE A POSITIVE ROLE MODEL

or take your thug lifestyle and attitude crawl back into the hole you came out of.

Last night I had a lady ask for hip hop. I asked for a song title or artist and she said she doesn't know any specifically, she just wants hip hop. It's the millions of brainwashed consumers like her that keep this $hit from getting flushed down the toilet.

And on a related note, I'm in Iowa (aka rural America) and if I get one more school dropout trying to get me to play his cd "cause he's the next big thing" I'm gonna take that cd and shove it up his ass, give him $2, and tell him to go and buy a friggen clue.

Now that is a quote worth saving...a cd up the ass is gonna hurt bad, at least the first one...

Music tastes will vary depending on where you live for sure.
Sure some of it is bad, but not all of it imo, and we all have our opinions...

[/quote]

My nomination for quote of the year...

uhhhhhh .......i question so much of what i say and think that i think it's only right to let things trail off in a blizzard of dots rather than pretend that there is a neat conclusion ......

Not related to this forum but my "quote of the year" came last week. We had a party at the house and i was trying to be a nice host. So my cousins girlfriend from high school was just sitting and being very quiet & shy. I figure i'd ask her if she was hungry. Now keep in mind i have been drinking all night but i never get totally stupid and always moderate myself. What happened was a horrible miscommunication.

What i tried to say was "Want me to get you a plate and something to eat"

but instead i said "Want me to eat you and get you a plate or something."

My cousin just gave me a pat on the back and we laughed it off but her face was priceless, i bet mine was too. :)

New Years resolution ---> drink alone.

Thanks for the kind words. The best part about my rant is that I'm pulling in $30,000 a year as a club resident in IOWA, and the dropout has yet to get his cd to hit it big. Maybe if he actually paid to have his cd's properly labeled he might be taken seriously. No, instead he's going to use his $50 Walmart printer, sticky labels, and microsoft paint to create an illegible graphic that rubs off with the slightest touch.

I'm optimistic about this next year. What with the Cupid Shuffle, Fergie's Clumsy, Kanye's stronger, and Timbaland's the way I are, I'm hoping we can finally get away from the crap rap.

Until that happens, I'd like to thank old school and the remix for providing me a means to make a living.

Nutz out...
