Topic: Dell Nightmare

I have spent the last year resolving a problem with a Dell laptop. I was getting random pops and clicks, and they not only occurred in Virtual DJ but also when playing any audio on the laptop using the laptop speakers, headphones, or an external sound card. I went back and forth with Dell customer support installing drivers, reinstalling the operating system, swapping out the motherboard ext. The problem occurred both on XP and Vista. Dell finally sent me a brand new laptop and I still got the same problem. Finally I found a solution in the Dell forums, and it turns out the Draft N wireless card causes this problem. Check the forum links below and you will see that many people are having the same problem.

Here is how I fixed it:

Start button > type 'device manager' > network adaptors > wireless card > advanced tab > disable bands

Choose value 'disable 802.11a'
