what happens if i run v5 for the 1st time without all hdds connected ?
i'm using a laptop and have about 7 3.5" hdds
but i only have 3 external cases
what happens if i can only connect 3 hdds and run it for the 1st time ?
the old database(v4) will be left intact(not changed at all), right ?
i have backups, just would like to know
i connected 1 hdd and ran v5 for the 1st time
a lot of folders/files are not showing the analyzed info, that was shown before in v4
for some reason all the info for my mp3s is gone
some info for my videos, too
if i delete the database on c:\Documents and Settings... for v5, would that reset v5, like it would run for the 1st time ?
i tried it and same as above, a lot of info is still missing ...
if i "clean" the database on one of my external hdds, shouldn't the main database change, too ?
that's for now... :-)

they will appear in the "search" database,
but the problem is that the info is still missing

sorry to complain first...
i NEVER regreted buying vdj, i'm still not and never will be (hopefully :-) )
because i know it'll be fixed soon
i had problems with vdj once in a while,

happy vdjing,
matt

dj-in-norway
nice webpage by the way
i did read the new guide, of course, quite a few times all the way through
i don't think the questions i asked above are answered in that guide
i have both versions installed and, as mentioned before,
a lot of song information(bpm, length etc) showing up in v4 is not showing up in v5

ok, i went a little "deeper"
i checked the database file itself, VirtualDJ Database v5.xml
inside the info is still intact
exactly the same except for some new parameters from v5
i can do a global search or go to that folder and browse,
but the info(bpm, length, comments etc.) will not show up
