don't worry, it's on its way to be released soon.... some final technical checks are being done

I doubt very much that statement is true. Atomix do not announce new features before release and if you are a member of the beta team you are breaking the EULA which you agreed to.

I would ignore that comment.

I'm not a beta member.... it's something I know about from some announcement to the point where they were able to mention where allowed!

Well in that case share your source then.

I can't reveal my source... unless you give me 100 euros. 😁😄😁😄😁😄

Ok, lets stop rumors here (and save your money :D)

the truth is ...
- We plan to implement what is called "flexible beat-grid"
- We have started developing this for quite some time ago
- We have not yet reached to a point where it could be included to a Beta Build
- When ready, be sure we will ask our Beta testers to do their "job"
- There is absolutely no ETA, so really nothing close to "soon"

As for any "sources" telling u other than the above - or asking for money to reveal it lol -, well, it's just rumors :)

so that there is no misunderstanding.... you mean I was making a joke about the money.... As for my source... I won't reveal it. 😁😁
although I believe you know where I learned it.... what we had learned was what you wrote.... that it is being edited and we hope that it can be released by January... that's why I was hoping that it would be released.... "soon "

as we all know vdj releases something when is ready....and most of the times is a feature that nobody was aware of.... djdad made an exception and stated a new feauture that is under development... so be patient people...and keep your money :D

There's a possibility that Serato DJ software could be getting an update to deal with fluid tempo tracks soon.

Mojaxx has just made a video about something mentioned on the Serato forum.

Serato DJ currently is similar to VDJ in that it just does an average of the entire track and provides a fixed grid. Not ideal, but...

It seems if you analyse your tracks in Serato Studio, the beat grids follow the tempo changes, then when you next load them in Serato DJ, hey presto and eureka, fluid beatgrids (as long as Studio knows where the "one" is).

It wouldn't be unreasonable to assume (as Mojaxx has) that this will soon be available directly in Serato DJ.

Could this be a viable way of saving time manually setting anchors in VDJ? I guess once these grids are saved in the Serato DB they will import to VDJ with all the markers?

Maybe so, but Mojaxx has only just made the video, and AFAIK the info hasn't been mentioned here.

He clearly states in the video that it was discussed on the Serato forum, and I also stated it.

Yep I follow just wanted to point out that it wasn't a discovery made by him.

Wrt the beatgrid - provided it's using the same grid format (which it post liklely is), then any tool that understands the format + transfers it will be able to transfer it to VirtualDJ (barring a limit on beatgrid anchors in VirtualDJ, which I didn't see a problem with when transferring from Rekordbox to VirtualDJ - there was a Serato post of such a problem in Serato but they must have fixed it by now).
