I just ran into this same problem. Bought a Pioneer controller a couple years ago and finally decided to get it out and practice again, only to notice no BPM'S. I thought I was crazy. Then I did some digging and found out this is by design to force users to buy the full version. Do yourself a favor and switch to Serato like I did. it's a much better product anyway, and the industry standard. Maybe someday VDJ will realize this creates a bad customer experience, forcing customers to look elsewhere. Hopefully they will change their ways. They make a good product.... Used VDJ7 for years
