Topic: Denon SC2900 Jog Wheel LED's

Just wondering if any of the VDJ mapping gurus can help me out on this one (I'm looking at you DjDad).

It was asked in another thread I posted regarding these players but I thought I would start a new thread. I am sure it's possible but I don't know what to change in the SC2900 mapper to achieve it.

I want to change the jog wheel so it show's the negative mode like if I was playing a CD or off a thumbdrive on the 2900s. Negative mode is one of the options you can select for the in the 2900 menu.

I made a video to show what I am talking about.

This is negative mode

And the next video is what it would normally look like when using VDJ8. The whole jog wheel is lit either blue for player 1 or red for player 2.

I know last part of the mapper refers to the jog LED's , I just wouldn't have a clue what to change.

Appreciate any help!

The "negative" mode/pattern for the Jog Leds can be done with vdj script actions. Will have the code later.
About the blue/red Leds, how would you use those ?

Great thanks Babis.

Prettuly sure as in the first video for negative mode you can select either red blue or purple for the jog indicator that moves around and the cue is another colour if that makes sense.

I just want the jog wheel to show the cue point and then the jog indictor moving around the jog wheel.

Hope that makes sense.

Since the changes you want require changes to all leds of the jog, I have one question for you:
Do you use the native mapper or a custom one ?
I'm asking because instead of giving you here the code for 96 leds it would be easier to do the changes and send you a custom mapper file.
However if you use a custom mapper you'll either have to redo all your changes on the one we send you, or you could send us your custom mapper to change it and include the changes...

@Phantom - I do use a custom mapper but the changes I made are only small.

@djdad

Thanks Babis.

I copied the above into my custom mapper, loaded a track up here's how it looks.

I think it's from LED25 on that they all stay on.

Any ideas?

Also if we can sort the above out I'd love to have it in purple also if that's not too much trouble.

Thanks again for your help!

PhantomDJ - Thank you!!

That works perfectly now. You guys are awesome.

As I said above if I can also have it in PURPLE that would be awesome too. Only if it's not too much trouble.

Thanks again!!

what do you mean "have it in purple" ?
purple for rotation of decks 3 and 4 ??

My suggestion would be to have the blue/red inverted for decks 3 and 4 , so if decks 3 or/and 4 are selected from the device, have red rotation and blue indicating the Cue position.

Instead of a blue jog indicator moving around the jog wheel the colour would be purple.

I just took this video.

*Edit* I don't normally use 4 decks but can see the sense in having then different as you suggested above as well.
