I'm trying to figure out how to run a mono signal out of my VMS 4.1. I'm using VDJ 8.
I want to use the XLR out not the headphone jack.
When I go to advanced config and use the mono settings I get mono out but the volume for decks 1 and 2 work off of the deck 1 slider and I'm not able to preview in the headphones.
I need to run mono at a club that only has a single XLR input for their system.

I'm wanting to see if anyone knows how to setup the software to make mono work using my XLR output. The box you referred to would require me to use the RCA outputs. If I have no other options then I will.

Audio is set this way Deck 1 ADJ ASIO Out 1 (mono)
Deck 2 ADJ ASIO Out 2 ( Mono)
I also tried both decks set to Out 1 (Mono) at the same time

Also did the same setup with decks 2 and 3.
Once again I get mono out but I can not control the volume on each deck all volume gets controlled off of one deck.

The vms4 has an external mixer which is probably why you having troubles ...

You could try to set the VMS to pure Midi mode and check again with your mono routing.
Have a look at the manual and search for pre-EQ mode or post-EQ mode.
