Hi, I have a macbook early 2008 with 10.7.5 os 2.4 GHz core2duo and 4Gb of RAM. VDJ version is 2073.890 and I have Pioneer DDJ-SX2 controller with firmware 1.04. I just switched from VDJ 7.4.1 and DDJ-SX because of spilling of fluid over the SX during the gig. So, the program randomly crashes during the night. I've noticed that it crashes if I turn the jogs counter-clockwise while the song isn't playing (setting the cue point) or if I try to manually align the beat with the jog wheel. There is no prior warning. The program just shuts down and resets all the settings to the UI I have made (BPM, Play count, Grid size...)
My CPU usage is never in the red.
I still have the VDJ 7.4.1 installed on this mac but i don't think that this maybe the problem
Please help

Mac lion is a bit buggy with vdj 8. I have some strange crashes that occur as well. Since you can't upgrade your Mac due to its age the best option is to bootcamp and run windows. It works pretty much flawlessly. I'm sure the devs are working on the lion issues but since it's such an older os. It may not be a priority

have you opened it up and made sure its all dry on the inside?

could be there is still some liquid in there effecting those functions.....

next thing it may not work at all

OK. So, if i upgrade my mac (buy a newer one that can run mavericks or yosemite) the bugs might go away?
Thank you for quick reply

@dag0407, when i check your updates i can see you do not use the latest build from our side.
Please download the Free version from our side and install it.
http://www.virtualdj.com/download/index.html

Enable get Beta at VDJ Config - Option side.
I'm sure this will solve your issue.
