please help.

i need to show the cover art and the song title and artist for a performance.

i know in the past there was the fx titler. which was pretty awesome. now i guess it is gone. please advise.

i have tried to install showcover by dj cel without success. please advise.

i have read the forums and have found nothing useful.

I use the showcover by djcell too.

You just need to load the art from songs/id3 tag manually.
 
Ashampoo cover finder might be worth a look. Not used it but saw a video and it looks quite good
 
they have the cover, and they have the attached file.

but it still won't work.

please advise. i need this working by thursday night.
 
You say you can't install show cover, why not? Also check to see if your other video plugins work. Do you have the latest directx drivers?
 
perhaps someone should make a tool to validate and covers to files in bulk. one that would make sure everything is ready to go and would work much faster than virtual dj allows us to. adding covers to files 1 by 1 is so time consuming.
 
This is another issue, did you get your first issue resolved? As far as I know, the covers are added automatically, if there is a cover.
 
the cover is there. my issue is that i do not want to create an image for each file separately. i want virtual dj to get the cover art from the id3 tag of the active deck and just show that. i wish it could be that simple

enable / disable

show from: active or automix
fade: 0,1,2,3
horizontal alignment: right, center, left
vertical alignment: top, center, bottom
image: original size, stretch to fit
capture from: from vdj tag, file tag (id3)
transition: fade, swap, use video transition
 
Unusual this, but Mac users can show covers from tags. I haven't ported the relevant plugin to PC yet.
 
djkz, I know its a pain to load it 1 by 1, but right at this time it's the only option we have.

For me, I only use the covers when I need to remotely load the next song so I can see on the screen that it did load (tiny cover on the left/down corner) so I know for sure the next song is good to go (play).

Maybe one day (a fix) will load the covers (if covers exist) automatically.
 
The way I see it. Cover and id3 tags and video effect is a virtualdj element not a video effect. But that's just me
