Topic: HP ENVY 6630M GRAPHICS PROBLEM (SOLVED)!

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

Make sure you have the latest CCC from the HP web site.

In CCC select the option for power and set the DC and AC options to max performance.

In CCC also select the VDJ exe and set it to high performance.

set laptop to max performance.

Now go back to the HP site and download the latest Bios.

Once the bios is installed reboot your laptop and go into the bios. (usually F10)

In the switchable graphics option select fixed, then save and reboot.

Doing this will allow you to select the 6630m in the video option of VDJ when connected to an external monitor.

I have not had any issues with VDJ once this was done with memory warnings / openGL on any vids i have played with effects running.

Hope this helps,

Ian

Hello !

yes it is on FIXED

i see my 7690m xt in virtual dj video setup ,but everything is the same
i can work only if disable hardware acceleration
without any effect and transitions.

i had same problem 1 year before with Nvidia card.done everything like now.nothing

than i found a link with explanation how to empty cache in registry hotkeys ( from 0 to 1 or from 1 to 0 ) that solved my problem .

i cant find that link..maybe that could help me.

thanks mate !

hi guys need help!!!
im using an hp envy 4 1047tx
Microprocessor 1.7 GHz Intel Core i5-3317U
Microprocessor Cache 3 MB L3 cache
Memory 4 GB 1600 MHz DDR3
Video Graphics AMD Radeon HD 7670M (2 GB DDR3 dedicated)

i followed all the tweaks in regedit... all the settings in video
unfortunately everytime i load a video i got an error.... recover error!!!
i ticked the recover and i uncheck the hardware acceleration audio works just fine but no video
and if i checked the video accelaration again... i got the recover error again.

i tried to uninstall. then clear registry then install again but i got the same problem.

is this a bug or does ati and vdj really don't match? any suggestions? thanks

here is why Im a fan of support and this community.. Max set up my video card today and this is how its done. go to the windows main screen right click. now see where it says graphic property and you will see NVidia there click on it. now manage 3d settings. then you will see a pop down and click the blue manage settings. on the right you will see global settings and program settings. click on program settings now click on add. then finds virtual dj exe and add it. Now close the window. Ok , now move the mouse over to the virtual dj logo to start it but click the right mouse button. and run with graphics processor . click on it and make it the high performance graphic processor. now let virtual dj load.now go into virtual dj and click on the configure or set up and find video . in video enable the video and the accelerator plug in the hdmi and click on "ok". now load a video to deck one or two remember that video doesn't work on 3 or 4. now play... I have to say that it was max's awesome help that taught me how to do this or else I would be in the same boat. I will check back to see how it went. Stretch

Can anyone please explain what I'm supposed to do with the Registry Tool. I also would like to know what to do with source codes. My problem is I cant seem to get it to record video with hardware acceleration off and when it's on the video plays horribly. I purchased this software solely to record video while using timecode via my cd decks. Someone please help!!! I updated the AMD graphics driver I have 8 gigs of RAM running a Lenove G570 (A334) 64 bit windows 7 home professional. I also updated the Intel graphics driver

replace your laptops with an nvidia card and problem solved. AMD ATI sucks.

I cant see a Lenovo G570 with dedicated graphics card. I can only see models with IntelHD, which is not a good choice , not even for video playback. Does your laptop have a dual video card (both IntelHD and ATI ? Are you sure VirtualDJ uses the ATI and not the IntelHD ?

A video card with dedicated video memory is required.

I play with ATI for over 6 years and no problems.
With the new system I tested Nvidia and after 14 days I went back to ATI.
Wants to have the correct settings Video memory. That is all
