I have a question about AVLA. Do Most bars and or Hotels even know what AVLA is and if so do they have their own licence. I believe most don't.
I see all the DJ companies in my area advertise that they have an AVLA licence and if you want to join either CDJA or CPDJA you need to have an AVLA licence. I bought a licence this year so I can be 100% legal. I did a gig at a large Hotel in my home town and even though they did not ask me for an AVLA licence the company I took the job from has an AVLA licence. So my question is would the Hotel have their own AVLA licence ? Or would they need me to have one. Basically I purchased one so people who ask if I have one won't be scared away from hiring me. And the fact that I want to join either the CDJA or the CPDJA any edge to help me get more gigs I will take. Basically one wedding a year will more than pay for this service.
