Hi;

Is it possible to get the jingles recorded by the sample function as a different format (mp3, wav, ogg, ...) to work on them with a sound editor (in order to adapt the fade in / out for example) ?

Yes.

Clax, i need the samples in wav format, just to create some better quality loops for later use (for remixing songs.)
This as an option, .vdj samples are great too.
I think its a good idea to ask for this.
mp3 is not a good format for loops/jingles, it ads a litle silence at the beginning and this creates gaps.

A tip for you: rename .vdj to .ogg and use dbpoweramp to convert to other formats.

I just wanted a "native" .wav format. (.vdj are 2 times compressed)

Also...

You can change what encoder VDJ should use for the sample format...

go to EXTENTION settings, in VDJ, and locate the VDJ (jingle?) and VDS (sample?) extention
Change the value for it to "internal WAVE decoder", instead of the "internal VDJ sample encoder" (OGG), and you will record all samples in wave format :)

You can of course make any good sample in a wave program, and save it as wave, and load it directly to a sample-slot also :)

thats it :)

It's a good idea dj in norway I never thought about it to encode my samples but the problem is I have to change several times as I create sometimes jingles that I want be able to change in .wav or .ogg after in order to work on them, but sometimes I create loops and I have to do the settings back for that.

I tried to rename my jingles to .ogg but it didn't work.

Dj in Norway i tried this before :)
But as you wrote it is the decoder you can set not the "encoder".
I tested and always the vdj files are in .ogg format, even if wav decoder is selected.

I need the option to save in wav just to create high quality samples.
For compressed format .ogg is ok (better than mp3) for loops and jingles.

@clax, the trick i wrote about dbpoweramp is working for me.
Vegas video also read them as .ogg 192 vbr 44.1 stereo..
