Hi there,
I bought VDJ HomeEdition and installed it on my home PC. I want to download the program on my laptop as well, so I checked the downloadcenter and tried to install it. The following error message keeps appearing: Not sufficient space on the E drive, please remove all unnecessary files". I don't really understand cause the E drive is my DVD-drive.
Anyone encountered this problem as well? Or anyone got a solution please??
Thanks 4ur help !

If the "E" drive is your optical drive then you need to select a different location to save the program i.e. your "C" drive. So when you try to download it again just change the directory location from "E" to "C". I hope that makes sense but if not let me know... good luck!

Hi there, really don't know what's going on...I deleted the programm and wanted to re-install it, now he's telling me something about "parameters" that seem to be wrong ? ? ?
I also noticed that the programm is only downloading the .exe file. There should be more files to be downloaded, no?
I'm gettin' nervous cause Friday I'm supposed to use VDJ on my laptop for a party.
Any suggestions, recommandations, ideas....whatever ;-)

O.K., Let's start from the beginning...
1st: Make sure you completely uninstall the program then restart your comp.
2nd: Go to your source file for the program which I believe from your post is a download, when you download the file make sure it's set to download to your "C" drive, when it asks where you'd like to save the file make sure you save it to your desktop (and yes this should be an .exe file as it will execute the program).
3rd: Once the file has downloaded to your desktop "completely", double click on it and follow the on screen prompts/instructions.
4th:You should now have a short cut to VDJ on your desktop, double click on it to run it for the first time, remember you'll need your software license, after you enter your license # you should be in business! Let me know how it goes!

Hi there,
thanks for your reply. I followed your steps, been able to download it from the downloadcenter, but I still can't install it on my laptop. I did coublecheck that I was ssaving it to the desktop (so surely not on my E drive) but still ..... Error: not enough bites free on ur E drive, pls delete all unncessary files...What's going on here? It's also windows vista, just like my desktop, so that can't be the problem.
Please let me know if you got any idea.
tks
Steven

We've got a similar problem at this moment on the Dutch forum. We've had 2 or 3 before but they never gave any feedback on how this was solved. (if it ever got solved....)
We have tried to replicate the problem, but never manage to do. So far it seems to be something in the registry that is sending the installationfile into the wrong direction.
I'm hoping on a reply from anyone of Atomix that can tell us what to do to. We've got stuck on this......

Just answered your ticket.

Can you please make this a public answer? We've got some with the same problems and not everyone has made a ticket. Also we would like to be prepared if someone else comes with this problem.
Thnx,
Martin.

screen" is there a way I can get it running anyway?

The default VirtualDJ v7 Pro skins require a minimum screen resolution of 1024x768
Custom skins for smaller resolutions such as NetBooks can be downloaded from http://www.virtualdj.com/addons/skins.html, but these are only available to registered licensed users who have purchased the software: http://www.virtualdj.com/products/comparison.html

I downloaded the lower resolution sreen and put it into the skins folder. How can I change the resolution of the skin If the program won't open? I am trying to install it on a netbook.

1. Download the Registry Tool. http://www.virtualdj.com/addons/2170/Registry_Tool.html
2. Run The Tool. You can find it at Mydocuments\VirtualDJ\Tools
3. 4th line from top right corner, you will notice a tab called Skin. You have to place there the name of the skin you downloaded.
IMPORTANT. Write the SkinName followed by : and the filename that the zip file contains.
Example.
The skin you have downloaded is placed at MyDocuments\VirtualdJ\Skins
If your skin is called VirtualDJ 7 (2decks).zip, then open the zip file and check the name of the container file. For example, it could be named as a resolution e.g. 800X600
So you will have to write in that tab .. VirtualDJ 7 (2decks):800X600
4. Press APLLY, and CLOSE. Then open VirtualDJ
