Topic: Running VDJ on Virtual XP 32bit(with Windows 7 Pro OS)

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

I don't know if this has been asked or if I'm posting this in the correct forum, so I apologize in advanced. I'm running windows 7 premium 64 bit on my laptop(with virtual XP), I also have VDJ on my back-up laptop(which is strictly XP). I use Virtual XP to run certain programs, but I run my VDJ on windows 7. I want to run it on Virtual XP and I want to know if that would count as a different computer as I would think the signature is different. So would I have to remove it from Windows 7 to install it on virtual XP(which is on the same computer)? F.Y.I. virtual XP is not a partition on my hard drive, it runs like a program on windows 7. It looks, runs, and updates like XP. You have to have at least windows 7 professional or ultimate to install it. It's a very nice feature if anyone needs to know.

Thanks

Being an IT Professional and working DJ. Dont' know if this is supported by VDJ but I certainly would not recommend it for performance reasoning. Just my 2 cents.

I would stay away from it too. I have been using Win 7 on a 32bit laptop and 64 bit desktop, no issues.

Don't bother trying to run VDJ in a virtual machine. You lose far more than you gain.

how do you get your to your asio settinngs on windows 7?

Go to CONFIG -> Sound Setup.

Choose Sound card(s): ASIO and then choose your card from the drop-down list.

Click APPLY.

Click on the ASIO Config button to open the ASIO control panel of your sound card (To change buffer size (Latency), etc.)
