Topic: Urgent! How to Add Sound Effects without taking up space on one deck

Hi,

I'm a newbie. Infact, I'm newer than a newbie. ANYWAY, I'm going to try to explain my problem as clearly as possible.

My equiptment: Hercules Steel and VDJ DJC 5.2.2 version. 1.2

I want to add effects such as air horns without having to upload it onto a deck.

For example, if I'm playing a song on deck A and the song ends, do I have to load the Air Horn to deck B, play the effect and crossfade then RE-LOAD a song onto deck A and switch back?

Or, if I want to play the sound effect during the song playing on deck A, must I upload the effect onto B and then crossfade back and forth in order to play the effect during the song playing on deck A?

OR

Or is there a simple button I can press to play the sound effect without having to loead it onto either deck?

All advice and examples welcome..

Click on the SAMPLER tab and load your samples there by clicking the little bullseye icon in the slot you want to load and selecting "load." Then, when you want to use one, just click the PLAY button above the sample. You can also adjust the sample volume for each sample with the slider in each slot, as well as causing loop samples to beatmatch to the track that's playing. It's a fairly powerful feature ;)
