Topic: I got my Behringer BCD2000 working on Mac VirtualDJ :)

Just for anyone that's interested, here's how I got my BCD2000 working on my Macbook running OSX 10.6 and using VirtualDJ 6.0.5 + MIDI mapper:

- Download and install the Mac drivers from here:
http://www.evinyatar.be/sphpblog/static.php?page=bcd2000-download

Download the Behringer BCD2000 mapping for VirtualDJ from here:
http://www.virtualdj.com/addons/8710/Behringer_BCD2000_Def___Mapper.html

- For testing, download MIDI Monitor from here:
http://www.snoize.com/MIDIMonitor/

Now once you've installed the Mac BCD2000 drivers, run MIDI Monitor to see that it all works. Under 'Sources' you should see a checkbox with the name BCD2000. Click on that, then give a few buttons a press on the BCD2000 - you should see some messages pop up. If that's the case, your BCD2000 is working fine with the drivers.

FIXING THE BCD2000 MAPPER
Install the Behringer BCD2000 mapper as per the instructions. You can find the needed VirtualDJ/Devices and VirtualDJ/Mappers folders under the 'Documents' directory in your home directory.

Now for the fix: You need to open up the file Documents/VirtualDJ/Devices/BCD2000.xml in a text editor. On the second line of the file, you'll see this towards the end:

drivername="BCD-2000" decks="2">

Change the drivername to "BCD2000" (take out the '-') so it looks like this:

drivername="BCD2000" decks="2">

Once you've done this, save the file and launch VirtualDJ. After I'd done this, my BCD2000 was recognised straight away and everything seemed to be behaving as I remember on my old Windows machine....

Hope this helps anyone who has had similar issues.

That's because you have not purchased the software.

As above, the mapper is only available to registered users of VirtualDJ Professional and it will only work correctly with the latest v6.0.7 version.

Please use the latest official v6.0.7 trial http://www.virtualdj.com/download/trial.html and if you like the software, please support it and its future development by purchasing it http://www.virtualdj.com/buy/index.html

NOTE: The latest version of the software has built-in support for the BCD2000, so no add-on mapper should normally be needed.

Mappers can be found on the page http://www.virtualdj.com/addons/tools.html but as above are for registered licensed users only. Please DO NOT ask our users to illegally send you add-ons that you are not entitled to.

There is no need to use a mapper for this controller - It is natively supported by the software. Please ensure that you are using the latest v6.0.7 trial http://www.virtualdj.com/download/trial.html

can someone upload that mapper to somewhere else please?

Nobody will upload the mapper anywhere.

This is not permitted.

Please do not ask our users to illegally share add-ons with you again.

Mappers and other add-ons are only available to registered licensed users who have purchased the software: http://www.virtualdj.com/buy/index.html

The BCD2000 is natively supported in the latest version of VirtualDJ and no mapper download is required. Please ensure that you are using the latest official trial http://www.virtualdj.com/download/trial.html
