Im a dj and im unsure about this procedure. If I want to shout out "WOW" on my dynamic mike, and record it as a fancy sound effect how would I do so?

I'd also like to know if it is possible. Thanks

I do my sound effects and DJ drops through my Pioneer DJM-800 mixer which has effects that allow me to make some cool drops. I record them with either my Yamaha Pocketrac 2G or I do them through Serato with my SL3's record feature. I don't use VDJ to record because it can't send and return so I can record my mixer's effects through VDJ. It's best to do your drops with an external recorder.

For jingles (and remixing as well) I think ACID is an easy and useful program.

You can download a free version and try:
http://www.acidplanet.com/downloads/xpress/

Best with this is the "nondestructive editing". You can drag the sounds/loops around until you're satisfied, then just "render to new track".
For looped jingles there is BPM and good timestretch functions.

If you want to change something, just open the project, edit and render again. No cutting directly in the soundfiles makes it possible to edit without any quality loss.

Just a suggestion...

(and you can record directly into the program, for example your voice)

Maybe a little missunderstanding. I've never heard of artificial jingles "on the fly".
For me a jingle is a trademark, like a logo. So I want it to always sound the same, and be perfect mixed/produced.
Because of that I produce all jingles at home, and at a gig I just play them.

Only "artificial" I tried is AnalogX Sayit
http://www.analogx.com/contents/download/Audio/sayit/Freeware.htm

Technical you could with that render a wav-file, load it into VDJ and play it out.

Just route a record loopback on to your PC and record it with an external software like audacity.
This link might help you...

install audacity:

http://audacity.sourceforge.net/

then you can recorde your voice and play it on a deck.
if you want to put it on a sample : loop it and hit record.

Then you can rename it ....
