U need to set your performance slider to the right.

It sounds best with high performance settings and a low latency ASIO soundcard (ASIO enabled) - but it will just be an improved digital scratch, not a vinyl scratch.
You'll need timecoded vinyl if you're serious about scratching.

I'm sorry but I'm having the same issue, but in my case I dont have a License and
the time is running of. I've came from testing Deckadance Trial, now I'm testing
VDJ, but unfortunately the Scratch is pretty nasty.
I've posted the following thread:
http://www.virtualdj.com/forums/113643/Hardware_Technical_Support/Glitches__ESI_U46se___Serato_Vinyl___Beat800_%28PhonoPreAmps%29.html
Where I mentioned my specifications, where you can read:
- Intel C2D 1.6ghz;
- Kingston 2 Ghz Ram 667mhz;
- 120 Hdd;
- ESI U46SE (Latest drivers) USB;
- Rane Serato Timecode Vinyl v2 (Recomended by Atomix);
- Behringer Beat800 (Phono Pre Amps);
Running:
- Latest Virtual Dj;
- Win XP SP2;
- Tested both ESI drivers and Asio4All;
Tests done:
- Soundcard with latency at 48, 64, 128, and tested 256;
- Buffer 4, 8, 9;
Issue:
1 - I can't scratch, I keep loosing the position (when scratching if you place a sticker marker, in Serato or
Analog, you know if you pull back to that marker you'll get the same sound);
2 - I get audio glitches while scratching;
My question is, is it because of the soundcard ? Will a Audio 4 Dj, solve this issue ? Or is a Software problem ?
From my point of view, VDJ doesnt handle scratching at all *1, so thats a Software issue. The Glitches are because
of my soundcard *2.
Can someone confirm me this ?
