I just bought an RMX en installed VDJ 5. Everything kept running well.
I tried the Pro-trial so I could try out the full version of VDJ 5. Everything kept running well.
I tried the VDJ 6 trial and now I can't start any of my tracks. I uninstalled these trials and started all over with VDJ 5 But same problems remain.
I get two warnings since. Probably they'll have something to do with my issues.
1: when I turn on my pc I get " can't open asio.sys (2) "
2: when I start VDJ I get " error in the asio sound driver "
I'm running it on Windows XP SP2, hopefully someone can help me so I can start djing again!
Oh and try to use simple english, mine is not so well.

Ok ... uninstall everything all Hercules drivers and VirtualDJ version (you will not lose your database data) the reinstall everything just like when you first set it up.

Ok thanx this worked, I still get the " can't open asio.sys (2) " message though. Could this have something to do with the hardware configuration?
I'm now running the VDJ 5 pro trial again. Will my problem occur again when I buy the pro licence and update to VDJ 6?

Since you are using the Pro Trial .. what settings did you make on the Soundsetup tab? They should be ...
Inputs-> None
Outputs -> Headphones Master 1&2/Headphones 3&4
Soundcard -> RMX icon with Hercules RMX Console in drop-down
But this is the first I have heard of a asio.sys(2) error .. to me that sounds more like a bad driver install. You might want to check with Hercules Support -> ts.hercules.com

Usually when there is a number in parentheses behind a filename, it means that it is another copy of a file that already exists. It could be that it has already opened the original asio.sys file...Not sure if this is the case here - just brainstorming. Maybe you could search for part of the filename and see how many times it comes up in explorer.
