Topic: Virtual DJ 6 - No audio with .vob/.mpg files [FIXED]

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

I realized that for this new version, some files .vob or .mpg simply doesnt had audio. The audio is not loaded on decks waveform display.
I observed that happens only with audio encoded AC3 - 6 channels files.
Im using a Conexant HD Audio soundcard, with updated drivers.
Someone also noticed that?
Is there any solution?

All my videos are the original .vob that I simply renamed and changed the extension to .mpeg..

they all work fine in version 6 (audio too)...

I did notice that on a really super long .mp3 file that the waveform didnt show.. (but it played fine)

All files .vob/.mpg with only 2 chanells audio are playing smoothly in VDJ6.
Just the 6 channel audio files, encoded with AC-3 codec are mute. With version 5.2.1, for the same files, the audio is OK.
Thanks, anyway.
Im still waiting.

Do you see two lines with "AUDIO" in the "File Infos" window for these files?

sorry, off topic, but i got to ask.. :-)
Why are your videos using 6 channel audio?

I brought this up the day version 6 came out and sent Cstoll an example file.

As I said above, the files run flawless at 5.2.1.
I didn't know that were 6 channel audio files until yesterday, when I got the playback issue. I loaded about 50 files at the deck to test, 3 or 4 didn't load the audio. Then I load them at G-Spot and that was the only thing in common between the files.

There is only one line at file infos. But I observed that, when I check the infos for the same file at version 5.2.1 and 6, the audio codec is different.

Thats version 5.2.1 codec
AUDIO: liba52, 375Kbps, 48000Hz, stereo

Thats version 6 codec
AUDIO: AC3, 375Kbps, 48000Hz, muti channel

Ok, thanks. I hope Chris can solve it faster, as alwyas do

yes, have example and several others ...

In the meantime ... just convert them to another codec type ......

JOKING !!!!! :)

thank you ... resolution in the works .. :)

I know this problem from version 4. I had to buy the videoprogram ''VideoReDo Plus'' and change all Vob files with 6 channels audio into 2 channels Vob files. It's very good and fast software. When the version 5 came out, this problem was fixed but now it's the same problem as with the version 4.

Yes it was changed in v6 in order to support more codecs.

OK, fixed with 6.0.1 release.
