I couldn't find it. After the DJ convention I was almost sold on the RMX but reading the threads I am now not sure. There are quite a bit of models. I liked the onboard sound card. I like vinyl mixing because it takes me back to the old days. I don't scratch. Must beatmix.

you can spend forever debating which controller does what and why you like one versus the other. its like purchasing cars. i like the fuel efficiency in one and not the other but love the leather and smooth cadillac ride with my headrest sponge in the other. eventually you have to step in the door, start the key, and drive.
at some point you must drive.
i purchcased the rmx and am happy with it but have not pushed it to its limits. it has its glitches, etc., but so will every piece of electro/technical piece of equip.
i think the rmx is a solid foundational piece of equip for learning about VDJ supported controllers.

Hy DJ Doc Z,
i'm with adamjmeek.
I'm using the vestax vci100 and think also it's the best. But the vci100 don't have a soundcard aborad.
The vci100 has a little bit bigger jugwheels then the rmx and seems a little bit more quality (In my eyes). But she is also more pricy!
Also i've heard the vci300 should be great.
Before i use the numark total control, she was pretty nice, but too small for my hands, lol.
Then there is the xponent, a real huge controller, think about the double size like the rmx or vci100.
Then the behringer products, but from them, i don't hear good things. I heard, not use!!
The other hercules products like mk2 or mk-mp3 are in my eyes too small, but also handy.
In our forum there are a lot of guys, they use the rmx. As even product without trouble but they like it!
But what product runs the first time without a problem?
Summary i think the rmx is good choice. Also the price so, she's hot so why not! ;-)
On the market are so many products, but what i feeled and heard, go to a product with a name and quality!
Maybe other guyes gave you a nother view.
Hope it helps
All the best for you.

Not sure if I need an onboard soundcard. The choices make it tough. I run audio and video. I wanted a mixer that would kinda-sorta work like vinyl. I'm old skool and would like to beatmatch again with something other than two cd players or two turntables.

Than I think, it's up to your moneybox;-)
In Size with jogwheels I will rate:
- rmx
- vci100
- vci300
- xponent
All this controler will supported under vdj.
Also you make your own personel configuration by general midi, for example, so you can say the controler how senitiv the wheels should be.
But this way is a long setup way, but it works.
You can look on youtube for the magazin "djmag" & (example) "rmx", these guys will test all of these equipment and maybe you can have better look of the size or options.
There is also a real huge monster called NS7, i've only see it here in the forum on pics, but I think for mobile you need a truck! ;-)
Hope it helps and lets us/me know what you do!
Have a good time
Haui
PS: I look at all of these 4 controlers in a DJ-Shop, even has good's and bads!

The best place to get this type of info I've found is from the wiki pages. Here's the one for general MIDI devices, there's a bunch of other pages for specific brands: http://www.virtualdj.com/wiki/General%20MIDI.html
I would read about the different options first, and once you get an idea of what you want just search the forums. I also have an idea of how frustrated you are. I've only used the demo, and I'm waiting for the right controller to buy for when I buy virtualDJ. I haven't found anything that I'm comfortable spending that much cash on yet. I think that something new will come along this year though that will do it for me.
