- Use of the forums is a privilege, not a right.
- Posts may be edited, removed or levelled up at the discretion of the forum moderators.
- Your posts must not contain offensive, abusive, racist, religious, political, sexual, adult or pornographic material. Please bear in mind that minors may be reading your messages.
- Promotion and/or discussion of illegal activity is not permitted, e.g: How and/or where to download music, plugins or software illegally.
- Advertising or posting details of items for sale is not permitted.
- Commercial advertising and spamming the forums is strictly prohibited.
- Posting links to 3rd party download sites is not permitted. If you wish to share an add-on for VirtualDJ, please use our official download area.
- Unlicensed users (No license user) who have not purchased and registered the software may not post E-mail addresses, personal website addresses, MSN or any other contact information.
NOTE: If a registered licensed user posts contact details, then we will normally raise the level of their message so that only Limited Edition or Professional Edition users can see the topic (As appropriate for the user.) This is to help protect your personal details from being seen and collected by spammers, fraudsters, etc. We do not recommend posting your personal contact details in open public Internet forums. We provide a personal messaging (PM) system to Professional Edition Users for private communication. - Please treat all other users with respect including those who do not have a license yet (No license user.) For example, do not accuse users of using an illegal version where you have no proof of this fact other than the user being a No license user. Some users may be using equipment provided by their club/bar that does not belong to them (The owner has the licensed version of VirtualDJ.) Our policy is to help all users. Most illegal users will usually purchase the software eventually if they are serious about DJ'ing. No professional working DJ should risk their job using illegal software that might let them down. - Constructive discussion about competing software products is permitted. However, blatant promotion of other competing software while 'bashing' VirtualDJ is not permitted. Likewise, blatant and unreasonable bashing of competing software is not permitted.
- With the exception of the OTHER LANGUAGES section, messages must be posted in English language only. If you wish to post a message in your own native language, please use the appropriate forum under OTHER LANGUAGES.
- When posting, please ensure that you use the most appropriate forum for your message. For example, do not post a Mac question in the PC Version Technical Support forum.
- Do not post non-English language messages in the main forums (General, PC/Mac/Hardware Technical Support, etc.) These forums are for English langague messages only. If you would like to post a message in your own language, please use the appropriate forum in the OTHER LANGUAGES section.
- Do not post messages in ALL CAPS. This makes your message harder to read and is interpreted as 'shouting' and bad etiquette by most Internet users. Please use proper case for your messages.
- Do not 'hijack' a topic by posting a message or question that is not related to the topic in any way. If you wish to post an unrelated message, please open your own new topic in the appropriate forum (Click on the pen and paper icon at the top of the forum topic list.)
- Do not bump an old topic that is more than 1 year old. Old topics may no-longer be relevant to the current version of the software. Please open your own new topic in the appropriate forum.
- Do not post pointless messages (E.g: 'Hi') or short messages that do not add anything to the topic such as 'did it work for you?' in a bid to raise your forum level.
