Had the same issue here with a HP Pavilion G6 laptop. Basically this issue rendered my machine un-usable for video gigs.

This solution seems to have worked for me too...although i've not had a chance to do a thorough test yet.

If I come up with anything on my side I'll post back.

Cheers...and keep spinnin'...(",)

ATI™ or NVIDIA® video card w/256MB of Dedicated DDR3 RAM

DEDICATED ;-)

Some computers has two videocards and run normaly as default lower class card!
In most cases the OS or BIOS does not switch from the lower to the higher class videocard when you start VDJ.
Please contact the computer brand support how to use always the higher class videcard or try to follow my steps.

Changing the codecs to Windows Media Player Codecs totally worked for me like the video showed. That dude is the man.

Evidentally the codecs that VDJ has do not work with the newer Windows 7. Very simple fix!

Ok after researching a bit I found a solution to the problem watch the video below

I am so thankful for this Youtube Video. Further more for who ever found this. I was so bummed that I had Dumped all this money into a new DJ laptop, (1 TB SSD drive, 16 gig ram, I7 intel) granted the SSD drive and the ram were not standard equipment with the laptop. Possibly completely not necessary, but I was mega bummed for well a long time about the video being choppy.

This is the solution. It works great. I can't believe I didn't even check the Reg edit. I would have figured out half of the problem. If i even dreamed of looking there. BUT the second step. Would have baffled me for probably a long long while.

Any Who! This fix just made my night! Now I can plug this bad boy into the projectors again.

Glad that you all could fix your problems with this video.
Maybe you all could crowdfund some money to donate it to the user who made the video.
Because obviously he is using a cracked version.

Oh and btw, if you have a legal registered pro full version you could download the "registry tool".
With this tool you could easily change the values shown in the video without messing around in the registry manualy.
