Hey all,

Bit of a crisis situation. I have a gig tomorrow and my brand new VMS2 just showed up today.. tried to take for a test run and I can not get any audio output. The program recognises the hardware, buttons and faders respond, but no audio..

Setup:

MacBook Pro, Virtual DJ Pro 7 (updated)
Audio Setup: Advanced Config> Master (VMS Audio Midi Device) & Booth (VMS Audio MIDI Device)

What am I doing wrong?

Any help would be greatly appreciated, in this my hour of crisis..

Peace

you should set
deck 1 > VMS audio midi device > Output 1&2
deck 2 > VMS audio midi device > Output 3&4

Hope this helps although I have the VMS4 but setting should be the same

I cannot get stereo from my vms2. virtual dj pro. always one side of stereo is missing. Both outputs are functioning but its always 2 left or 2 right. both deck one and two should be putting stereo to the main out put. Almost all rock songs are missing guitar solos or what ever is panned in the mix. Extremely frustrating. I'm set up using the asio driver deck 1 output 1&2 deck 2 output 3&4. I just want true stereo from both sides. ugh.. help please..

I just got my VMS2 a few days ago. i set up everything on my laptop; loaded in the Virtual DJ LE disk and opened it up, connected my VMS2, and began working on it. but my songs skip and the whole thing doesn't seem right. sometimes when i load up music, it takes forever. My songs skip and it goes through my speakers. and every now and then, the song i select won't load up period, and i'm convinced that its my computer or Virtual Dj. and then when i would close the program, the program AND my comp would freeze. then i'd have to shut down my laptop, and not the "safe" way either.

Laptop: Compaq, refurbished

I went ahead and got my computer cleaned and put a new windows on it (Windows 7) but when i read the instruction manual, it said that Windows XP Sp2 or Vista was required.

should i clean my computer again and get one of those 2 windows installed on it instead? or is there possible a problem with my VMS2?

PLEASE HELP!!

This means that you have performance and/or configuration issues with your computer or it is not high enough specification.

Please see the following FAQ pages:

http://www.virtualdj.com/wiki/Performance%20Issues.html

http://www.virtualdj.com/wiki/My%20songs%20load%20very%20slowly.html

http://www.virtualdj.com/wiki/Error%20loading%20song.html

Please also register your VMS2 VirtualDJ LE serial number on the page http://www.virtualdj.com/users/edit.html and download and install the most recent version from the Download Center: http://www.virtualdj.com/download/updates.html

Most computers/controllers should work fine with Windows 7, however if it's an older computer, you may be better off with Windows XP. Vista should be avoided at all costs. Make sure that your computer exceeds the minimum specifications recommended by the manufacturer.

thanks so much. i checked all that; chained my windows 7 to the Basic setting and downloaded virtual dj le7.
the music is running smoothly and nooo stuttering!! *knock on wood*

but my only other problem now is when i'm all finished and wanna exit the program. it freezes up and even when i open the task manager, it still won't close when i try to close the program that way. so i end up having to just use the power button and shutting everything down without warning and that makes me nervous.
i wanna only use this computer for my DJing sooo...

PLEASE HELP!!... AGAIN

This means that there is still something conflicting somewhere on your system that's preventing VirtualDJ from closing properly.

It could be the VMS2 driver itself. You can confirm this by unplugging the VMS2's USB cable when VirtualDJ freezes. If the software starts responding again and closes normally, then it's a problem with the VMS2's drivers. Please check with the manufacturer to see if they have any updates available.

It's also worth checking your VirtualDJ database to ensure that this is not corrupted. Please see: http://www.virtualdj.com/wiki/I%20get%20an%20error%20message%20saying%20that%20my%20database%20is%20corrupted.html
