Hi, I bought the MP3 E2, but I've lost the disk. How can I load the LE version onto my new laptop? I bought the Basic version, mistakenly thinking I could use it with the MP3E2, and I'm stuck with a mixer I can't use!

Thanks, in advance, for your help.

Lexi

Please contact the manufacturer Hercules support http://ts.hercules.com - They should be able to retrieve it using the hardware serial number of the console.

NOTE: VirtualDJ Pro Basic does not support MIDI controllers. It is for mixing using your mouse and keyboard only.

This is clearly stated on the product purchase page http://www.virtualdj.com/products/basic.html and the product comparison page http://www.virtualdj.com/products/comparison.html

To use external controllers, you will need to upgrade to the full VirtualDJ Professional: http://www.virtualdj.com/buy/index.html - Or use VirtualDJ LE that originally came with the console.

The MP3e2 will not work with v3.4 because that version is far too old. The MP3e2 console was released long after v3 was no-longer the current version of VirtualDJ. If you are referring to the eJay MixStation that is registered to your account, then this version also does not have support for any MIDI controllers and is also obsolete software - Please see http://www.virtualdj.com/products/djmixstation.html

If you have the full VirtualDJ Pro, please register your serial number on the page http://www.virtualdj.com/users/edit.html and then upgrade to the latest v7.0.2 by going to http://www.virtualdj.com/download/updates.html

Otherwise, assuming that your MP3e2 is not second hand and/or the discount has not already been used, please go to http://www.virtualdj.com/buy/index.html and enter your VirtualDJ DJ Console Edition serial number in the box provided to upgrade at a discount.

Alternatively, if you do not want to upgrade at this time, you can use the limited DJ Console Edition of VirtualDJ that came with the MP3e2 console.

I just bought the DJ Control MP3 e2

I know its possible to record the midi of the jogwheel, but is is it possible to midi it out to the jogwheel again? in maybe Cubase?
if yes, how?

that would be awesome because then we could edit the scratch to perfection AND save it as a midifile

No, Home FREE does not support MIDI controllers, except for 10 minutes at a time as a trial of the full VirtualDJ Professional.

Home FREE is for non-commercial use only, using your mouse and keyboard to mix. It is not permitted to use this version at DJ gigs where you are being paid.

Hercules DJ Consoles come with a free DJ Console Edition (LE) of VirtualDJ. This is not trial software, but is limited in functionality - See: http://www.virtualdj.com/products/comparison.html

It can be upgraded to the full VirtualDJ Professional at a discount by going to http://www.virtualdj.com/buy/index.html

No, VirtualDJ Basic and Broadcaster do not support MIDI controllers.

You will either need to use the free included VirtualDJ Console Edition or upgrade to the full VirtualDJ Professional.

Yes, if you wish to be able to headphone pre-listen to the track that you are cueing up.

You may wish to purchase MK4 instead, which includes a DJ sound card built-in with headphone pre-listening capability.

Would it be compatible with my tapco firewire as a soundcard?

There is no reason why they would not work well together, given that they are different devices (one is a controller and the other a soundcard).

If your Tapco works iin VDJ, then you are fine.

No it will not work (Except for 10 minutes at a time as the trial of the full VirtualDJ Professional.)

Home FREE supports mouse/keyboard use only. Please see http://www.virtualdj.com/products/comparison.html

To use MIDI controllers, you will need to purchase the full VirtualDJ Professional: http://www.virtualdj.com/buy/index.html

Of if it came with VirtualDJ LE (Limited Edition) included, you can use that (And optionally upgrade to the full VirtualDJ Pro at a discount, assuming that it's not second hand.)

which midi would be okay to use with the version i own then ?

Posted Wed 12 Oct 11 @ 10:29 am
Your mouse and keyboard.

As above, Home FREE is free limited software and DOES NOT SUPPORT USING MIDI CONTROLLERS.

If you want to use a MIDI controller, then you will need to purchase the full VirtualDJ Professional or a MIDI controller that comes with VirtualDJ LE (Limited Edition) included. See http://www.virtualdj.com/products/hardware.html

Hi, i was wondering what software i could use if i got this with the Korg NanoPad, i mean like so i could use this and that in the same program.
And also, if the version of VDJ that ships with this does not support itunes, how do i get music?
Edit: And also with the korg microKEY, and i want to be able to sample with the nano pad,
Kind Regards,
