I do my DJ\VJ mixing with music videos and songs. I have received many positive reviews on my first performance. I make custom images and videos for get-together's, birthday parties, graduation parties, weddings, etc. For example, a picture or video of the person with a message displayed under such as "Congratulations" or multiple images in a slideshow. I can also include a custom video to play while music is playing. I also include cool video effects, cool music videos, or cool visuals while music is playing.
I am currently in Downingtown. In the Chester County, PA (Pennsylvania) area.
I can play almost any style of music that is requested. I can play the songs that you give me as well. I can also do scratching and beat juggling. I can provide you with an audio sample of my scratching upon request.

When I leave my "booth", I like to lock my computer so that no one can access it. Sure some skins come with a locking feature (Multi Functions 2.0), but people could still access my computer.
I decided to use the Windows shortcut Windows+L to do a "Quick User" switch. I wanted more control over the default options that show on the default Windows screen. For example, I did not want the "Shutdown" button to appear so that people can shut off or restart my computer. I know people can still press the physical button, but it gives them less options. In addition, I wanted to have nice customized graphics as well.
My solution? I used Stardock's LogonStudio (www.logonstudio.net) to edit the default Windows logon for a nice logon screen for me. Note that I erased my real name and added "DJ GargantulaKon" in Photoshop. I am not a popular DJ and do not go by that name seriously enough to register my computer with my DJ name :-).
Sure I could give you a step-by-step of how to get this point, but I thought it would be much easier if I give you the file with my ~4 hours of tedious work. Microsoft had a graphic that was stretched out and when I replaced the image with my EQ LEDs, it looked horrible when stretched. I had to tweak the "Panel Width" value by .01%. I kept saving and applying until I got it perfect with not even one pixel stretched out. I checked it out in Photoshop with the orignal graphic overlayed and it should be dead on. Whew! In addition, I had to "hack" my way to getting the lower panel to disappear since setting it to hide did not work.
One only have to replace the background picture! That is it! The logon is set for my 1024x768 monitor so it might look different on your monitor's resolution.
- Open up LogonStudio.
- Click on "Load" and browse to my Logon file.
- Click on"Edit".
- On the right side of the window, you will see a tree view under the word "Elements".
- Click on "Center Panel".
- Click on the ".." button next to the word "(Bitmap)" in the bottom right "Properties" section.
- Click on "Browse" on the new window and make sure the image you select is a BMP file.
- Click "Open" and then "OK".
- Click on the top left icon that looks like an artist's palette to preview and test it.
- That's it! Close the "LogonStudio Editor" and click "OK" on the bottom right on the main "LogonStudio" application to finish!

I made this for myself as a handout to carry with me without having to open any applications while DJing, but I think other people can benefit from it. I fixed some typos, spelling and grammar to the best of my knowledge. I am not a English teacher. More importantly, I changed the layout of the original documentation so that it is easier to read at a quick glance.
If anything is wrong in it, I will be happy to change it. It took longer than expected to do (4 hours) so I hope someone other than me can benefit from it.

One way to temporarily disable hyper-threading for the program is by going to the Task Manager (Ctrl-Alt-Del) and right clicking on the process you want to test. Click on "Set Affinity..." and deselect the "CPU 1" checkbox.
I found a useful program I would love to share with the Virtual DJ comminity, the ImageCFG Affinity Mask Tool. It permanently forces the program to only use "CPU 0" any time the program starts. It prevents having to go the the Task Manager to disable "CPU 1" all the time.
- Click on "To download the ImageCFG affinity mask tool, click here."
- Download and then copy the imagecfg.exe program to the Virtual DJ folder.
- There are two ways to use it. I will show you the easy way first and then the second way if the first does not work for you.
- Right-click on the imagecfg.exe program and select "Create shortcut".
- Right-click on the new shorcut and select "Properties".
- In the "Target:" text box where you see "C:\Program Files\Virtual DJ\imagecfg.exe", add "-a 0x1 virtualdj.exe" (Without quotes). It should look like this:
"C:\Program Files\Virtual DJ\imagecfg.exe" -a 0x1 virtualdj.exe - Click "OK".
- Double-click the shortcut and the affinity should be set now for Virtual DJ. You have to do this every time that Virtual DJ is updated though.
- Run Virtual DJ. Run the Task Manager and right-click on the process "virtualdj.exe" and select "Set Affinity..." to confirm that only the "CPU 0" checkbox is checked.
- You do not need the imagecfg.exe program anymore and can delete it if you want.
- Open up "Command Prompt". It should be in your start menu under "Accessories".
- Browse to your Virtual DJ Folder.
- Then type, "imagecfg -a 0x1 virtualdj.exe". It should be set now. You do not need the imagecfg.exe program anymore and can delete it if you want.
As far as I know, I do not know any other way other than reinstalling the program.
