I surfed the web a bit and found some tips, while I will try to speed up my laptop...
I will take notes here - that maybe helpfull to others..
You can also checkout xeon's blog

I will be very happy about feedback so please page me.

Just have in mind - Its at your own risk and responsibility, when you do this at home.... :-)

Disabling unneeded protocols... For faster internet connection, and broader band.

Be aware that if you disable the Client for Microsoft Networks protocol and the file-sharing protocol,
you will no longer be able to share your files on internal networks.
Additionally, you will no longer be able to connect to remote computers to view their shared files.

But if you dont need that, go for it! It should even give you better security..

1. Right-click the My Network Places icon on the desktop or in the Start Menu and select Properties. If the My Network Places icon is not in either of those locations, then go to the Control Panel and click the 2. Network Connections icon that is shown under the Classic view.
2. Next, right-click the network adapter with which you want to view the network protocols and select Properties.
3. This will bring up a list of the protocols installed as well as active on your adapter, as Figure below shows. The protocols that are installed but not active are indicated by the absence of a check in the checkbox.

Also keep in mind that if you have a wireless adapter, a wired network adapter, etc.,
you will have to repeat the preceding instructions for each adapter.

Increasing network browsing speed
Dont do this if you are an Sysadmin.. And uses remote controle to other computeres.

1. Open up the Registry Editor
- Start / Run - type regedit in the text box and click OK
- expand the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE key.
Next, Software - then Microsoft.
Locate Windows and expand that as well.

- expand CurrentVersion.
- expand the Explorer key.
- expand the RemoteComputer key and then expand the NameSpace key to show all of the features that are enabled when you browse to a remote computer.

2. In the NameSpace folder you will find two entries. One is "{2227A280-3AEA-1069-A2DE-08002B30309D}" which tells Explorer to show printers shared on the remote machine. The other, "{D6277990-4C6A-11CF-8D87-00AA0060F5BF}," tells Explorer to show remote scheduled tasks.

3. This is the one that you should delete. This can be done by right-clicking the name of the key and selecting Delete.

ALSO:
If you have no use for viewing remote shared printers and are really only interested in shared files, consider deleting the printers key, "{2227A280-3AEA-1069-A2DE-08002B30309D}", as well. This will also boost your browsing speed.

-----------

My result of this is a much faster connection AND a broader band... that is essentiel when you are streaming.

After this I used a little tweaker called TCPOptimizer http://www.speedguide.net/tcpoptimizer.php - But how much more that helped I cant say for sure..
I dont usually use tweakers(software that twaeks the system), because I dont have ultimate control on how they actually tweaks the system.
___________

Processes

Windows is set up to work by default and handle multiple tasks...
But it slows the down the system, because they allways run in the background
.. Ill try to eliminate a few here.

In start/run type services.msc

There you see a list of processes - some are started som are not(disabled) others are manual.
Right click on the selected process, and choose properties.
In this window you can tell the system how to respond on each process... By choosing, the desired behavior - NEXT TO startup type.

I dont explaine each function here, but they are described in the properties window.
- note you may find some of the listed disabled by default on your system

services.msc

- the properties window:

Automatic Updates: Disabled (when you want to make an update, just start it manually)
Background Intelligent Transfer: Disabled (Maybe usefull)
ClipBook: Disabled
Cryptographic Services: Manual
DNS Client: Disabled (but test it, while you surf the internet... Not sure on this)
Fast User Switching Compatibility: Disabled
Help and Support: Disabled
HID Input Service: (If you use hot buttons on the keyboard like volume up an down, email, search, etc - DONT disable this, but if you controle the sound and earlyer mentioned, within the software, mixers etc. You can disable it.)

Messenger: Disabled (note it is not msn-messenger)
MS Software Shadow Copy Provider: Disabled(if you use backup systems- get some more info)
Print Spooler: (If u use spooling with printer. DONT disable)

Telnet. Disabled
Terminal Services Disabled (maybe set to manual- read the description)
Themes Disabled
Volume Shadow Copy: Disabled (set to manual if you use Microsoft Backup Utility.)
WebClient: (test it yourself, it has something to do with file exchange on some buisness networks, and or college networks, I've had it Disabled, Manual, and Automatic with no conclusive evidence.)

Windows Time: Disabled

Please give me feedback if u use these "twaeks" - it would be very helpfull.

Best regards Christian"R"
