Description:
VDJ Configuration Manager is a simple tool that reads and writes registry settings for Virtual DJ in one or more configuration files. It was written primarily for me where I have 7 servers I broadcast to, each with different hosts, ports, passwords, data quality settings etc., and I wanted a way to remember all those settings so I didn’t have to type them in each time.

I expanded it to support different configuration modes. So you can get it to save all your configuration settings, just the broadcast ones, just your timecode settings and if you are an advanced user, you can even create your own configurations (see below).

It comes with two default configurations for turning Broadcast Titles On/Off.

IMPORTANT: Before installing/using this program:

[1] This program only works on Windows.
[2] You must have the .Net Framework 4 Client Profile installed.
[2] This program reads and writes to your Windows registry and you will need your account to have administrative access or have access to an account that has administrative access. If you don't, this program will not function properly.

USAGE GUIDE
------------------

USING A SETTING

Using a setting works for all configurations no matter how you created them. Further, the system only changes the settings found in the file; all other settings are untouched.

[1] Select the setting from the Configurations drop-down.
[2] The software prompts you if you want to overwrite your VDJ settings.
[3] Click “No” to cancel. No settings are applied.
[4] Click “Yes” and the settings in the configuration over writes your settings.

CREATING A SETTING

[1] Start Virtual DJ and change the settings you want to save with this program.
[2] Close Virtual DJ.
[3] Start this program.
[4] Select the type of setting you want to create from the “Type” drop-down.
[5] Click “Save Configuration” (this saves the current VDJ settings into the file you specify).
[6] Click OK (on the save dialog).
[7] Your new setting appears in the “Configurations” drop-down.

DELETE A SETTING

[1] Select the setting from the Configurations drop-down.
[2] The software prompts you if you want to overwrite your VDJ settings.
[3] Click “No” to cancel. No settings are applied.
[4] Click “Delete Configuration”.
[5] The software prompts you if you want to delete your VDJ Setting.
[6] Click “No” to cancel. No setting is deleted.
[7] Click “Yes” to delete. That configuration is removed.

CREATING YOUR OWN CONFIGURATION TYPES

(Advanced Users Only)

You can add additional configuration setting types by going into your “%APPDATA%\Roaming\Elenesski VDJ Settings” folder and adding/changing any of the EVT files (Elenesski VDJ Type). Create a text file with one or more lines. Use Regular Expressions to match several lines or list the settings you want to save; one per line and save it as an EVT file.

When you restart the tool, your new preset appears as a type in the first drop down.

Configurations are saves as an EVS file (Settings) ... the format itself is just XML.
