Hello. Can Virtual DJ Pro be used with the Pioneer DDJ-SX Controller? My Denon MC6000 is on its way out and I'm looking for a new controller but do not want to change software. Thanks.

The simple answer is, yes. More info here.

If you have a mac, install Phanton Deejay DDJ Sx 1.2 Mapper. At first Without the mapper, I didn't like the results but Now with the 1.2 Mapper, it feels a lot better. I am running a i7 Quadcore 2.2 Ghz with 16 gigs of ram, 1 gig Radeon 6750 video card. Osx is Snow leopard. If I set the Performance settings to auto, The software goes bad. If I set it to 64 (1Ms) it responds good.

I have the same specs but on pc... im going to try your settings.

For the SR, you can also set the resolution of the platters to a lower value (read the manual - Utilities mode). This solved the platter/scratch issue here.

When you say your Denon MC6000 is on the way out, what do you mean? can you elaborate please. It's just Denon comes on these forums and we like to tell them about bugs and poor quality in the hope they improve future products.

PS, so your not getting the 6000 mk2 then lol

The DDJ-SX is supported and works about 90% of the features. DO NOT use the Samples or you will destroy your hearing, the venues speakers, and possibly the chance to play at said venue ever again. THE SAMPLER spits the voume out at 100% volume.

Thank you all for the great responses. My Denon MC 6000 has a bad Left XLR output. And the left side of the controller is doing strange things. Lights are coming on some buttons when not in use and the play button sticks as well. Its over 2 years old so its not in warranty.

Yes ! Updated mapper works like a charm !

This thread is about the Pioneer DDJ-SX and not the Denon MC6000. Please read the forum rules here

A Man...he was replying to Charlie's post above...get onto Charlie...I would have done the same as MKR and replied here since the question was asked here. :)

Ok. So I have the DDJ SX. I am using a Mac and the latest ver of VDJ. I downloaded the Mapper for the DDJ SX but how do I go about installing it? Not sure what to do next to get the controller to work with VDJ. Hope to get this working soon. Thanks!!

Thank you. I guess I am not sure on how to install the Mapper. I have downloaded it but what do i do from there. Using Mac OSX

Ok. So all I have to do is connect my Mac to the DDJ SX and then go in and select it in the Mappers Section in Config, then it will work?

Thanks so much. So all i need to do is connect my Mac with VDJ to the controller and go?

Yes.
