Topic: Change maximum volume on volume faders?

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

I would like to adjust the maximum volume for the volume faders on each channel. If it is now from 0-100, I would like to have it from 0-80.
How can I do that?

Is this to prevent clipping?

Thank you. Do I have to paste that into the mapping of the volume fader? Yes, it is to prevent clipping. I just want to have more headroom

Correct paste in mapping, but you would be better served turning your autogain setting down.

Lower your zerodB setting to -3dB or -6dB

I agree. That works great for headroom

mp3gain set the db at 89 all the headroom you need.

I also use Breakwawy dj to get the best sound while mixing.

The option about zeroDB is great. That should work best :D Thank you very much!
