I have had great luck with Similarity. It scans the tags as well as the audio content. You can change the percentage of accuracy. The free version works great for me, I do not have a need for the pro features yet.

+1
I used to use mediamonkey a lot until I got an iphone. Now I let iTunes manage my library. Having the playlists available in VDJ is a plus. I can add some tracks and listen to how they work together on my phone on the go.

Only if they have the same tag info. Thats why I use Similarity. It is the most accurate one that I find.
However, don't blindly trust any software to identify dup's. Have it make a list and check the songs yourself to make sure their not just close, but different. An example is that I have some songs that are explicit, others are radio edit. Another example is remixes. Similarity does real good if I have the settings at 90% or above.

iTunes has to functions to displaying duplicates. When you click the file tab at the top
It brings down a list of commands and one of them says display duplicates. But depending what system you use in a Mac if you hold down option and then click the file tabe it will bring down the commands but This time saying display exact duplicates. Which is word for word on a nay file that is the same. On a pc what ever button acts as your option key it works the same way. Thus the only bad bad part of it you have to delete it manually. It says click on the date and you should know what is a dup and what is an original I haven't tried that way I rather go thru the name of the song and the bit rate cuz some can be higher than other.and the way they are tag could be different to. For example lmfao shots can say shots lmfao ft lol Jon 255kps compares to shots lmfao 320kpscc I have 102,000 dup's to hoe thru but at least when I'm done I know their the highest
