So as you try and justify your actions with 'history' ... you can't just man up and do the right thing ....

My critic about saying 'lazy' is about a mathematical point of view.... and if you will re-read what I wrote (when you are calm) maybe you will understad that I just want to fully benifit this 4000 controlling signals in every situation.... and as I know this is the tightest possible control at the moment on the market

Already explained to you once ... will not be explained again.

Now.... I have read a lot of SCS.1 ... after I tested too and traded my Vestax mixer for SCS.1, than I saw VDJ gave a native support.... so I Tested that.... this was the first time to use VDJ... or a midi controller with a software.
And as I wrote before..... I will buy ... as I get my SCS.1 too.... This is the best I can do.... and the the best I can offer to others who thinking of make the 'swtich' from analog to digital

And so you have a SCS.1 - you say you traded in a mixer ??? But then you say you will buy .. but "as I get my SCS.1 too" ...??? So, which is it you have one or you don't ... and if you do ... then why won't you buy VirtualDJ???

Oh yeah, because you say it has all these flaws that you want fixed ... hardware changed by Stanton (yes, I have read your posts on Stanton's forums too - madam) and software free (or at least for absolute nothing) from VirtualDJ ...

Give me a break ...

I have an SCS.1m+SCS.1d ... and I need another SCS.1d, to get the 'conventional' DJ setup for juggling and so....

I traded my mixer since (as I wrote before) I can't get enough money at the East of Europe to easily buy several hundred € stuff for a hobby..... Earning 130 €/ month(!!!) and make a living from that is a strugling..... And to have this expensive hobby is pretty a luxury, but I better starving and do it like this.

I am not a DJ who earns mone with his talent.... I use to organise and participate squad parties and pirate radio broadcasting and so on....
Within 15 yers I spent all my saved money to analog stuff.... I just decided not to brake my spine with all those vinlys and I also want to do things (like video mixing) which is not possible with analog stuff.

And to get a discount when one wants to upgrade to VDJ pro, or even if he can use LE for free.... well that is not a 'rioting' in any way... And this is not about 'all these flaws'... easily it is the time domain to collect the cash...
And please forgive me for my -sometimes ununderstandable- kitchen english.....

hey thanks for the reply i am trying to assign the buttons on the top right of the unit i want to use for looping and samples i tryed the way in the video but as soon as i try to mapp it will go straight to the mapping for the jog wheel so i don't know. i really recommend u selling a set of your 12s and getting these things they are brilliant i used one of them at my club last night with not one problem and i was in heaven they are the most powerful controller i have ever laid my hands on i felt like a kid again lol. i really missed the turntable feel but now i am back. And to the non licence user my pitch fader works fine and remembers decks. GO PRO thats the only way to go and you get better support. Thanks to any one that can help

Hey dj_d_crayz, you've prolly got this long-since-figured out by now, but I had the same problem when trying to map my Numark V7 (goes straight to the mapping for the jog wheel), and it turns out that I had to do the mapping with the the deck stopped. If the platter is turning, that's the control that gets mapped.

Sounds like you're getting along great with the Stantons, I might just give 'em a try!

Any idea when these cotrollers will be re-launched?

No new info about the SCS.1 system with VDJ?

I have no idea, I'm guessing it will be in conjunction with Virtual DJ 8 release. Release dates are never given so don't even bother asking.
I've been dying to get my hands on the new skin for the SCS3, the only reason why I haven't sold my SCS3 is the NAMM announcement of VDJ having direct support for the system.

Here are some errors with my SCS.1 system.

Suddenly the LCD displays have a lot of missing lines.... there was no problem when I used the system last time, and there was no transportation or so.

Ant the volume level meters are not working well with the VDJ home free edition. it refreshes in every 1-1,5 seconds. (the second half of the video below)

http://youtu.be/dzbVrADqNco

The free edition controls the pitchs fader, but sometimes the fader moves by itself, the other (pirated PRO) version does not do anything with the fader.

I have the SCS system. I'm wondering when will the skin be available for this system it looked good when I saw it at NAMM 2012.

The skin you saw at NAMM show is included in the LE version of VirtualDJ bundled with newly purchased SCS systems. Users that have purchased devices in the past will not have the chance to download or use it. Thats part of the agreement between 2 parties.

Hi everyone,

I would like to know some things about the SCS.1 system and VDJ:

The Home Free version works perfectly with the SCS.1 system and it has a 12,4k bites XML file.

The Pro version can't remember the motorized pitch value and it has a 6,4k bites XML file (why the PRO version have half the size of XML file?).

We tried it in the shop where they selling these units.

And the pitch fader doesn't work AT ALL if I copy the 12,4k XML file to the Documents and Settings/Virtual DJ/Mappers directory.

Here are some copy/paste parts from the XML files:

FREE version
<map value="PITCH_RANGE" action="pitch_range &quot;8,16,25,50&quot; +1" />
<map value="PITCH_RESET" action="holding ? pitch_reset 110% : pitch_reset 2%" />
<map value="PITCH" action="pitch_motorized" />
<map value="POSITION" action="get rotation" />
<map value="LED_PITCH8" action="pitch_range 8%" />
<map value="LED_PITCH16" action="pitch_range 16%" />
<map value="LED_PITCH25" action="pitch_range 25%" />
<map value="LED_PITCH50" action="pitch_range 50%" />
<map value="LED_SNAP" action="key_lock" />
<map value="LED_PITCH_RANGE" action="on" />

Pro version
<map value="PITCH_RANGE" action="pitch_range &quot;8,16,25,50&quot; +1" />
<map value="PITCH_RESET" action="holding ? pitch_reset 110% : pitch_reset 2%" />
<map value="PITCH" action="pitch_slider" />
<map value="PITCH_MTR" action="pitch_slider ? nothing : pitch" />
<map value="TEXT_DECK" action="get deck" />
<map value="POSITION" action="get rotation" />
<map value="LED_PITCH8" action="pitch_range 8%" />
<map value="LED_PITCH16" action="pitch_range 16%" />
<map value="LED_PITCH25" action="pitch_range 25%" />
<map value="LED_PITCH50" action="pitch_range 50%" />
<map value="LED_SNAP" action="key_lock" />
<map value="LED_PITCH_RANGE" action="on" />

One have pitch_slider, the other have pitch_motorized.

I would like to buy these units and since the LE version is stil not availabe at all and only the PRO version would let me use them (for long period)

I'm confused a bit.

There would be a nice discount from the LE to PRO version, once the LE is launched for them. (I would like to save some money, or doesn't spend any money at all if the LE version will support video mixing in full screen)

The FREE version supports only 10 minutes of MIDI control.

The pro version supports infinit time, but costs 300 USD, and doesn't work 100% with these units.

What shall I do?

I would start with a legal version of the PRO software instead of an outdated crack.

Hello, i have a question...where is the mapper for the scs.1d in virtual dj 7???
i was looking for it but the only relative mappers that i saw were : scs3, scs.3d scs.3m ...
i thought that scs.1d had native support for vdj but i must be doing something wrong...

Well since you don't have a licensed registered with us - I would say that is the first thing that you are doing wrong.
Second might be using an illegal version.

I 've just got the scs.1d and I ve been using a licenced traktor pro 1.2.7 version. I haven't checked the scs.1d with traktor pro yet but when i find the time that's the first I will do. But I would like to test it also with virtual dj to see about the native support everyone is talking about. Can i try a demo version? demo versions have mappings for scs.1d?

How can I map a button for reverse mode?

Should I use 'reverse until_pressed' command?

The 'bump' works good, but the 'reverse' not.

Now if I do like the reverse command, than it goes back to forward mode after a few beats (probably because the platter spins forward, BTW how could I put the platter into reverse mode also if I would like to?)

THX

Hey there I got a second hand SCS1d (got 2 of them) they work really well with virtual Dj LE but could anyone send me the skin by chance? For some reason the skin is not in the LE version of VDJ that I have. Also is there a explanation to the mapping configuration anywhere?
Thanks.

Nobody will send you files to which you are not currently entitled.

Do not ask this again or your account will be locked.

Skins and other add-ons are only available to registered licensed users. You will need to register your serial number to be able to download. If the serial is already registered (Due to being second hand), then you will need to purchase the full VirtualDJ Professional because serial numbers are not transferable.

NOTE: VirtualDJ LE is free limited software and does not support using custom skins, effects, etc. outside of the 20 day trial. To be able to use custom skins, etc. you will need to purchase the full VirtualDJ Professional: http://www.virtualdj.com/buy/index.html

If I choose to I'll buy VDJ when I'm ready. As for the skin it was made for the controllers I bought to showcase how well the 2 technologies work together. It would normally just be included in with the controller but I bought them second hand and theres a few things missing.
I would think in the hope of snaring a happy new customer you might send me the skin that was made for my product but I guess not.
Traktor works well with these I just wanted to see what VDJ was capable of.

Thanks for the info anyway - Peace.

If you purchased them second hand and VirtualDJ LE was not included then unfortunately you are not entitled to it. Once registered, the serial number is not transferable, so this is probably why it was not included by the seller.

The skin is just a user interface and has absolutely no effect on the functionality of the software or the controller itself. In fact, many users who purchase Pro will choose to use a different and better/more advanced skin than the default that is included (This is something that's not possible in Traktor, which does not support using custom skins.)

You can try out the controller with VirtualDJ Home FREE for 10 minutes at a time: http://www.virtualdj.com/download/free.html
