Topic: Cannot Install Virtual DJ LE - not enough space on drive

I am having trouble installing Virtual DJ Le onto my computer. I downloaded the Virtual DJ demo for PC (32 bit) about a year ago. After a couple of months, I un-installed it. About two months later, I wanted to use the program again and when I went to re-install I got the following error message:

"This software requires an additional 21420 K bytes free on the G: Drive to install. Please remove and unnecessary files and try again."

After several frustrating attempts, I gave up.

It's been about a year and I have purchased the mixtrack pro from numark with virtual dj le. I was hoping because I was installing from the CD, maybe it would work. Nope. I got the exact same error again. I have attempted re-installing the software with my antivirus (Zone Alarm) Shut off and still no luck.

I checked 'My Computer' and I cannot even see a G: drive. I can only see C:, D:, and E:. E: is unformatted.

Thanks I'll try that. I know this sounds dumb but where do i register my serial? I would imagine it would be during installlation but i can't even get that far in installation. Can i get to it on the site? Thanks.

I registered the mixer on the site and it completed the installation. The program begins to open and I get this error.

Invalid skin file (error line 0 in the xml)
 
The most common cause of this error is installing the software while logged in as one user (E.g: Fred) and then trying to run it as a different user (E.g: Joe.)

The other user is missing the My Documents\VirtualDJ folder. The program will not run without this.

To resolve, please either:

(1) Install the software as the user you will be running it as.

(2) Manually copy the My Documents\VirtualDJ folder across to the other user.

Another cause is installing the software without administrator privileges under Vista or Windows 7. Right-click on the VirtualDJ installation file and choose Run as administrator. Also, we would recommend turning off UAC (User Account Control) in Windows Vista and 7.
 
after cleaning the registry, defraging the comp I am still getting the error mentioned above (of course i attempted to fix the xml error my self by re-installing the program). Any ideas? I am seriously considering re-installing my os. Thanks.
 
what os you using?

is your user account an admin account?

sometimes you need to "run as administrator" before you install things. also why are you installing into the G: drive??

is the G: drive the drive your OS is installed on? if not then thats probably your problem you have to install it on the os drive so registry keys can be added.
 
 
I buy a numark mixtrack pro with the virtual dj le that came with it why does not let met see the karaoke imagen bigger and the videos on my tv
 
VirtualDJ LE versions do not support video output to full size or secondary video output (TV,projector, screen). The video preview window is not resizable either.
To view the video master output to full screen size you need to upgrade your LE version to Pro Full version, at a discount. http://www.virtualdj.com/products/oem.html

I had to install the old version install_virtualdj_home_v7.0.5 then install install_virtualdj_home_v7.4
 
I have the orignal mixtrack but i misplaced the virtual dj le software, can I purchase just the software alone?
If so where can I purchase it from? Can anyone help?
 
You may be able to retrieve the VirtualDJ LE serial number if you contact the manufacturer: http://www.virtualdj.com/forums/151663/General_Discussion/Lost_Serials_-_VirtualDJ_LE_or_any_other_version.html

Once you have this, then providing it's not second hand and already registered, you can register it to your account and download VirtualDJ LE

Otherwise, you will need to purchase the full VirtualDJ Professional if you wish to use it with VirtualDJ. LE cannot be purchased separately and no other versions of the software support using MIDI controllers.
