Interesting, but I have a few questions about this...

How long are you expecting submissions to be? 1 minute? 1 hour?

And I presume you're talking about us recording a music video of us DJing by using VirtualDJ's built in Video Recording functionality, not like, taking a video camera and recording us DJing with VirtualDJ right?

Also, what kind of prizes are being offered?

And when is the compeition due date for submissions?

To clearify.

1) A camera recorded video from a club/pub showing VDJ in use there ( and no, NOT video mix a recorded inside vdj)

2) The prizes are lots of cool effects from VDJ, and some cool top prizes.. (we'll reveal more later.. )

3) The competition will be ongoing for at least out the year, and we'll give out prizes as we go...

Be creative, get your camera out, and show us where you use VDJ at your club ;)

About the competition

The competition is about showing VirtualDJ in use at your club/pub, and we have LOTS and LOTS of prizes to give out !!!
Most of you will win something.. ;)

It could either be a live recording, or a post-produced video with added creativity.
The better video, the better chance of top prizes ;)

(by the way, this competition is NOT about a recorded music video mix inside VDJ, we might run that later.. ;)

Examples of the kind of video to enter the competition

Example of a live video from a club
Super-Bizarre Live @ Gotham club

Example of a a post-produced video from a club
dj richard point g @ lydia port barcarés discotheque

Bring a camera to your club/pub and be creative ;)

kinda like this old thing but more creative?

Is that actually a video recording of a video monitor?

@wildcountryclub

all good ;)

we have a PTZ camera mounted on the lighting truss with the controller in the booth - the small monitor is the"preview" screen i guess. and cause there were just too many people in the booth that night and couldnt move around, i wasnt able to change angles very well so kept monitor in shot.

That's a pretty neat feature... at a club I used to work at we had a video camera on a catwalk, and I could flip the screens to show it - the ladies LOVED dancing in front of that camera, it was pretty awesome!

If only I was setup to run it through Virtual DJ that would have been rad - I could have then overlaid text on it and things like that.

Bars/parties are of course all good too :)

so, how was everyone's halloween?

one of these days i'm gonna buy some decent video editing software. tried to record the clips mixed with virtual dj, but still havent gotten the bugs worked out with the virtualdj video recording.

I'm Waiting for Bazzooka VideoSet , Italo Monster of Videomixn (VDJ+NS7)

for sample :-)

my demo for sat TV sky847

is it possible to record the video with the Hercules dj control MP3 and Virtual DJ 3 Control Edition ??

PLEASE DONT POST THE VIDEOS HERE

And also, its NOT a competition for mixing videos together.. (music video mix)

the competition is about making the best video showing VirtualDJ in use at your club/pub etc

You didn't understand me =)
Is it possible to show "Virtual DJ 3 Control edition" and "Hercules dj control mp3" being used in my club ?

yes thats possible ;)

VDJ and an all-in-one touch screen.

Yeah I know it is not at a club, but the VDJ software is not club ready yet with it's single touch feature. Waiting on the multi-touch.

Enjoy anyways...
