I have never literally made a career out of DJing. I began in 1996 on borrowed 1200s and 4 channel mixer. I was sixteen or seventeen years old. I got hooked as soon as I dropped the needle. I began acquiring little by little over a couple years until the time I went off to College in Miami, Florida, I had a above average basic setup. I owned 2 1200sMKII, Ortofon stylus's, A Pioneer DJM3000 4ch Mixer, and misc. CD burners and tape recorders. I played and thru some parties for the school and showed up to whatever event/club I could to get to know and understand the culture and many generes of music that was being introduced in the late 90's and the new millennium. I was given an album from the dorm R.A. (Debra). It was Sasha & Digweed, Northern Exposure. My sets, mixes,...I have never literally made a career out of DJing. My sets, mixes, and my own music workings have most of the time stemmed off their at the time current playlist. I love driving heavy base, dark grooves, off the wall sounds. I mostly play progressive house. I have been known to mix in old Steve Martin stand up comedy routines in my sets. I currently am a "bedroom DJ and Amatur Producer" Put away the turntables and utilize and am still learning the digital side of Djing. I had gotten married and stopped DJing, 12 years later I am divorced and have been fully invested in this new to me digital DJing.
