I'm not really a mobile guy, I have my weekend gigs which I'm happy to do,
But since I've been using VirtualDJ I have been asked to do a few friends and family birthday parties and that sort of thing, which I also like doing, as it is a change from my club and bar gigs. So what I've been thinking in doing is spending some cash (not that much I hope, I want my CDJ's, first, lol) in a small mobile "pub" set up.
I've been lucky because the pubs, where I've done this parties have had there own sound sound, so all I did was plug my RMX into there system and play, but I would like to become self sufficient.
So what sort of equipment, (nothing special but something that would do the job) would I be looking at for the small set up. Any advice would help.

Yep Terry, perfect, that sort of set up would do me nicely,
What sort of power output would I need for a general size pub, smallish function rooms and say 100-150 guests.

For crowds up to 125 I use my Mackie SRM 350s. For groups larger I use my SRM 450s. If more punch is needed I add my subs. I have a 12 inch and a 15 inch sub...I used that set up you see in my blog and my SRM 450s and 15" sub at a wedding with 350 guests..and it worked very well....I have used just my SRM 450s and that set up for a group of 160 two weeks ago and it was the bees knees....I run a Behringer Xenyx 802 mixer into the Mic input of the RMX and that gives me up to four mics for the guests to use....

I personally think the 350 are a little underpowered if you are only going to have one settup.
go with the Mackie SRM 450s and Tear's small setup and you should be fine.
I tend to overdo things so my small setup is pretty large. I use JBL PRX 515 Powered Speakers (2)
and and Mackie SA1521s(2).. if I need more Bass I add my Dual Peavey Lowe riders 18" Powered by QSC RMX 2450s
The SRM 450 Rocks, it's small and very portable; another option is the JBL EON G2... they rock also.
Thanks,
DJ SMG!

Check your cross fader settings. if your using an external mixer make sure it's disabled!

your question would have had more response sonido if you had opened a new thread instead of asking that question in a totally unrelated topic.
