Is there any way of having the track keys displayed in the Camelot format (e.g. 1A, 1B, 12A, 12B...) rather than the C#, etc format?

yes, go to where you choose your colums in your browser and choose camelot... simple as that

Wow, nice and simple. Maybe so simple that I couldn't see the wood for the trees. A million thanks for the answer!!!
I am kind of wondering how effective the key detector is, as compared to Mixed in Key or Mixmeister...
Anyways, I am happy enough that it is done on the fly and not taking ages as it is the case of the other two...

I've compared it to mixmeister and mixed in key, to a chart posted by the Camelot guys (manual detected songs)
And VDJ does better than the others ;)
But in the end, what really matters (as all have their own algo, and put weight to different frequencies/phases of song, and none are 100% correct), is that you use ONE of the 3 to get keys, that will give you keys that are harmonically correct to eachother, and thats the main point ;)

Very good advice, Norway. It makes perfect sense.
I think I will stick to VDJ's key reader as I love the fact that it is all in one. :-)
I was so happy to see that VDJ has added the key feature as I have a very large collection and always had issues with both Mixed in Key and Mixmeister when it came to analyse the whole library.
VDJ has done it again!!!

Works great ;) Most are harmonically correct to eachother, so one can definitively use the keys as guide to what songs goes well with eachother ;)

I cannot get mine to work and I have mixedinkey with all of my songs detected. I have chosen the camelot in VDJ but I have mabye 4 songs that show me the song key, but my other 900 or so songs do not show anything. Can someone explain to me how to fix this?

I suspect you have the mixedinkey data stored in the comment field of the tag. In VDJ you need to reload tags and show the comment field.

Multi select files, by using SHIFT key and mouse to choose start and end file.
Right-click the selection, and choose "FILE INFO" >> RELOAD TAG
;)

If all your files have the Key with in the there tags do this
Open a folder Highlight the first file, then press Ctrl and A key together. This will then hightlight all your files in that folder.
Once all files are highlighted left click on your mouse and it should be up some options, one of the options is to rescan your BPMS, (Scan for BPMS) which I did, with the new bpm detention also as it's scanning in will do the Key detection aswell.
If you don't won't to rescan then choose Reload Tags option, this should put all your Keys back in into the Tags. Do this for all you folders and you should be sorted.
