Topic: How to Save a Track Without Using The Record Buttom

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

First of all i would like to say hi to all those fellow Djs out there..... here is my question

Currently im trying to make a DIY of the track Method Man Ft. Mary J. Blige - All I Need but im facing this problem, even tho both the song and the instrumental are exacly the same bitrate and lenght the instrumental has a -00.02 BPM diffence (the beat needs to be slowed down 00.02 to be able to math the song perfectly) now what happens....... im able to make the BPM slight diffence using VDJ but the only way that i know how to save the track with the difference is by hitting "Start Recording" and play the track while the programs records it, the programs records it no problem but the problem is that when the programs records the track live it changes the quality (even tho its recorded at 190kbps and sounds the same as before when i expand the waves u can notice a significant distortion of the waves and it ruins the project)

now my question is

Does anyone know if its possible to "Save As" a track using VDJ without having to use the "Start Recording" feature?????????? and if not, with all the respect of the VDJ Family, does anyone know another program that will do the trick of been able to change the BPM and also be able to Save As The Track????

I hope someone be able to help me or at lease point me to the right direction....

THANKS!!!!!

Sorry, but the only way to save a recording in VDJ is with the Record Now feature.

FOr the process you are looking at I would recommend looking at Acid. There is a freeware version of Acid at AcidPlanet.com

Best of luck.

Also, if you purchased the software, please register your product.

Do you know about any other program other than Acid becouse Acid also ruins my instrumental wen i set them BPM it dosent adjust the beat evenly so goes in and out od the DIY

your tring to blend these together and cant get them on beat? is that correct? well Acid, Cool Edit Pro, etc... are the type of programs you need but just dragging two songs into the program and changing the project tempo isnt going to timestretch the songs together... it is a bit more complex than that... acid if you have the program will do it but you have to learn how to use ( timestretch ) do a google search on how to do that and also go to you tube they have great videos on all kinds of things you can learn from...

wow thank u very much, i did notice that, wen i changed the tempo it was the correct tempo to the song but will go in and out of the DIY so the timestretch was not even in the whole track, i will check on that, thank u again
