it looks like the right complement to any dj software, is a little pricey at $58 but you get the harmonic key info in to te id3 tags, too bad is not going to do much for video files

there is nothing out there for video files right now. There is no standard, many different formats. Right now everyone has there own database. The way I do my BPM labeling is the folowing Artist - Song [BPM].vob this way its easy to search using any software. Virtual DJ will right it to it own database after the song has been played or analysed.

Quick registration for a free tool from the Mixmeister crew that will analyze your files and store it in the id3 tag to boot.

download the demo of Mixmeister Studio, and it will (again for free) analyse the key of your tracks and store that in the id3 info.

However, videos don't have id3 tags, so you'd need to analyse an mp3 of the same track, then move this data over to the video inside of VDJ, so VDJ will store it in its own database.

Mixmeister all the way... best for key and bpm detection!

that is so crazy, I do own the Mixmeister, is true is an old ver3, I didn't used it in ages, and I think that I do have their beat analyzer too, but I never knew that will write id3 tags in batch mode, anyway I just got the Xone mix in key and I hope is as good as they say it is, 'cause my mp3 collection needs those id3s with bpm so I would not go crazy with recovering my database with every other update, anyway I wold not escape it cause all the cue points etc

I wonder if you set cue points in VDJ will you be able to see them in Serato and vice versa, anybody knows any trick?

It was in order to super

Going out on a limb here, but I'm going to say no. VDJ uses it's own database to store the cue points, so unless Serato reads that file, then it won't be possible I'm afraid.

then is a new project for the talented people around to desig a plug in that will import export cues from the database, heck idon't know if is even posibile, nah everything is possible so here it is a new usefull project that will make VDJ more appealing

or is even posibile to write cue points in the id3 tags then any software that reads them will be aware of it
