Topic: Camera plugin worked perfectly

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

Here is a demo of the camera plugin with a standard camera with no capture card. I edited for lengh in Sony Vegas and made demo DVD in less than 1 hour. The bar when nuts over the idea of seeing themselves. On the actual dvd created the quality if perfect but lost some of the quality uploading.

Nice one Fatkatz;)

Very nice Fatkatz.

I went searching for Camcorders that advertise low - to no lighting visiblity to use as well. Havn't decided on one yet. But all the ones I looked at were USB-equiped web-cam style enabled

BTW - cool music.

Very Nice Fatkatz,

how did you do all of this? This is such a great idea, your gonna make lots of parties and lots of dj's envy you.

=)

Sorry If I missed this... where can I get this plugin?

Thanks,

HOP

I think that is what works best, standing out from the crowd....

hey fatkatz i have two questions.

one is when you used the camera plugin, were you playing the feed from one computer or were you playing it on another computer with vdj loaded on your 2nd pc?

if not, and you were playing it from one input, as in one pc, when you were playing feed on the monitors at the bar, did you run into any problems with mixing or scratching?

The camera was plug by a 5 pin camera usb to standard usb hub. I also have a usb to fire wire. The both do the same thing. The camera itself has a function in it that will change it from standard camera to WEB CAM which I just keep in that function for everthing. As soon as you activate the plug in ( which takes about 1 1/2 second to load the screen, it's hollywood time. It does enterupt any visual affect playing. There is a causion > the CPU does this quick spike every 5 seconds in which usage goes all the way up to around 98% +/-.... I would suggest having at least 2g ram. It doesn't bother any of me function on my computer. I literally tried to crash the system but failed.

You can display the crowd without recording or you can record it doesn't matter. The one I did notice on the recording is that when rendering it to DVD. It might be best to save it as a mpeg1... You don't gain any quality by having it as mpeg2 you just loose double the space.
