I am using the MK1 with a Dell XPS 1210. My goal is to record a promo CD in out of all places the library or my office, and I used to be able to set up the sound functions so that in my headphones the left deck would output into my left ear, the right deck would output into my right ear, and I could mix a set this way without speakers. I thought that the way to set it up was as follows:
Inputs: None
Outputs: Headphones
Sound Card(s): Mono Seperated
Sound Card: DJ Console
This has not worked for me though. Please help, thanks!

which version of vdj you are going to use?
there are some skins that will let you mix the master over the headphones in the same time with the cue, if not just build some kbd shortcuts that will let you do this

I'm currently using VDJ 5.0. I recall that a previous version (older) had the Hercules DJ skin console and the ability to listen to one turntable per side of my headphones. Is it possible to switch versions of VDJ for different occasions? I like VDJ 5.0 when I use TCV but when I'm using the Hercules DJ Console, a previous version helps. How can I get the older versions of VDJ?

When you fire up VDJ, make sure you use the Internal Mixer skin, at the top of the skin is a "Cue -----Mix" slider, you may need to adjust this to get the desired results.
If you have the Hercules mk1 (with built in sound card) there is no reason to mono seperate, if however you have the MP3 control and only a 2.1 soundcard then you would need to mono seperate.
