I am attempting to assign shortcut keys to some more functions than come with VDJ in the default shortcuts XML file, but I have not yet found a comprehensive document describing the functions and what they do. Thanks in advance for any assistance.

If you go into the second layer of keystroke. It tells you what each function does. At least it does in 5x

I'm not sure if this is what fatkatz was trying to say, but when you go into options, and assign shortcut keys, you can get a list of all of them right there.
VDJ is so incredibly (and easily) customizable through hotkeys and the skin, and that's one of the reasons I love it so... It's like having an SDK to roll your own DJ software, which is exactly what I did through my VideoVision series of skins - all the time I have people at the club, other DJs or wannabe DJs and they're asking me where I got that DJ software, and they are so impressed by how well I can mix and such, especially with no controller.
