Topic: Choose what Skin size you want with in VDJ settings

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

Similar idea to Supacon's.

When opening VDJ for the first time or a skin change there should be a list of what screen size you want, so you can choose the size that fits your PC/Laptop screen correctly. I know users and skin designers make all sorts of sizes.

But I think it should be a option with in VDJ settings aswell.

Yes true,

but say you like one but when it's up on screen you have about a inch or two of your desktop showing, you should be able to go into vdj config and go to a new tab called "Skin ajustment" for example and click on a size that is suitable for your screen.

sure that would be nice.

here is a step by step procedure to do it yourself.

1. copy the skin. "copy of myskin.xml" and "copy of myskin.bmp"

2. open the xml file of the new skin.

3. in the first line
- change width to match your screen
- change the name to match the size of the new width

4. open the bmp file with mspaint

5. set bg color accordingly

6. stretch the size of the skin to be at least 1px bigger than the width.

Thanks for that DJ Kz,

But thats well to hard for me to understand, lol

Thats why we just need a skin size tab.

Jimmy b

what skin @ what size are you looking for?

I'm using 2 at the moment, depanding how I feel, Cioce Que 1.5 skin and DJ Format Mix Lab V2.0. Both fit my screen perfect.

let me rephrase the q.

which skin do you want in what size?

Sorry mate,

Wouldn't mine the vdj default internal mixer skin in 1200x800.

This why we need this skin Sizing option in the vdj config.

Jimmy b

i'll work on that.
