the same music in a different location is fine.
but when it's the same hard drive, same folder and subfolder, and the same music file name then remove the duplicate.
please...
thanks,

Do you mean it's the same filename, same location/path, double entry ?
To check this just use the "file info" (right click) and check the full path for your double entries.
If yes please give me an example from your database.

The preferred method of avoiding duplicates is to not create them in the first place. Since most people don't, they don't have them. It seems like an unique problem and you haven't stated what is the appeal in having this feature for the rest of us.
Also there can be many definitions of "duplicate". Identical as in binary/data, as in different rips from the same source, as in the same song ripped from different sources, as in same file name or perhaps id tag name?
There's programs out there that find binary identical files and you can find same name/id tag file just in Windows search by finding all music files then sorting by name or whatever.
The problem in this case sounds like that you have different name files in same directory and since VDJ started using ID tags (I told them not to use them but did they listen..) these can appear as duplicates. You can either try disable the id tags or remove the artist/title column and use the Filename column by right clicking in the VDJ file explorer.

my bad,
there was a slight difference in the naming "name(192).mp3" & "name.mp3"
though i remember having this issue before.
if i find it again, i'll send you a copy of the xml file.
