Hello all...

I am considering making the switch from PCDJ to Virtual DJ. PCDJ is just too unstable. I have downloaded the trial software, but my ID3 tags don't seem to appear correctly in Virtual DJ. I have no problems with them in PCDJ, though.

The proces I use to code my files is this:

1. Rip the music files in iTunes.
2. Convert ID3 tags to version 2.4 and close iTunes
3. Open Dr. Tag Plus
4. Convert tags ID3v1 -> ID3v2
5. Convert tags ID3v2 -> ID3v1
6. Edit Title and Artist in Dr. Tag
7. Save file changes
8. Exit Dr. Tag
9. Refresh Group/Subgroup in PCDJ

Very few of the song files that I have already encoded with this process are showing up in Virtual DJ with Title and Artist. In PCDJ, the refresh group updates the title and artist changes. Is there something similar in Virtual DJ?

Any suggestions?

hi

as yet vdj does not show full idtags in browser but everyone are hoping that this will be rectified in the next update which we believe to be coming out in the near future according to other posts...

forget that other software. go to www.download.com
search, download, and install these 2 free programs for ripping and id3 editing

1. cdex
2. tagscanner

as for pcdj, it is by far the worst program ever. you can't tell when the music starts and when it ends. you can't visually beat match, and their ever so popular pcdj fx still sucks.
as for reflex, let it first come out, then we'll start talking.

and worst of all, it's secret weapon is based on windows media player 9.
a required installed component. which can't be found anymore.. anywhere.

the greatest powers of vdj are the visual elements.

1. beat grid
2. rythm
3. song position

.. plus all of the other great stuff not availiable anywhere else in the planet. video output, tons of skins, samples, video effects, mappers, ... list goes on and on.
